I'm loving the direction they went with these teasers. They're probably my favorite ones so far. Every teaser for all the other seasons always seemed like they put so much effort and production value into them that they turned out looking better than the whole damn season. These teasers seem very simple and very horror. I love it.

(Edit: this is me silently wondering how many more times it will be necessary for every person in this thread to go through one by one and rank the seasons )

Not that IMDB is a source of reliable info, but someone is claiming that it's called AHS: Backwoods, and deals with a Satanic Cult and a Farmhouse of horrors. I doubt it's true, but what do you guys think?

Hotel was good up until about halfway once John realized he was the 10CK. The finale was utter garbage. Imo, the past three seasons have been plagued by good first halves and weak second halves.

Hotel was good, my second favorite season. It had such a dark but glamorous feeling.

Only things I didn't like were John being the killer, I mean it was cute but a bit zzz. And how lazy the finale was, I mean Sally being a bad ass bitch and then turning into a teenager with a iPhone...

You only liked Freak Show better because you were able to spoil pivotal scenes for everyone else. We would be like, "oh Elsa is talking to Dell wonder what's gonna happen." And you just pop up out of a piñata like, "WOW that bullet went right through his head. You guys seeing this?"

Coven had it's weak moments yes, but the highs are way better than Murder House/FS/Hotel. Coven had some really gritty backstories like Kyle's abuse, the Madame LaLaurie flashbacks etc. The majority (not all) of the characters were complex and displayed real development, like Madison putting on the bitch act but actually being really vulnerable and hurt, and Fiona's vulnerability once her cancer spread. I won't deny the finale was disappointing and the season went downhill once the Axe Man/Fiona story line took off, but Coven contains some of AHS's best writing and scenes too date IMO.

And as messy as Coven was, it was always entertaining.

Hotel, Freak Show and Murder House... were not.

People thinking that a season who's highlight was a shooting to Hotline Bling was better than "Surprise, bitch", everything Myrtle did, and so on.

Now I've had enough of you dragging my good niece Hotel. It's premiere is EASILY one of the best out of the five seasons. The intro, Gaga Cemetary scene and everything else just slays. And Room Service and Room 33 were written for the gods. Even though the vamp kids plot line didn't go anywhere, that school scene was iconic. And Room 33 ha aesthetic was one of Hotels best.

Checking In was probably the best episode, actually, but like the entirety of the show, NONE OF IT MATTERED! All pointless surface value just like its lead character!

That said, the scenes you mentioned (Intro, cemetery, and even The Countess slashing that one girl's throat) provided some amazing visual and entertainment.

But Hotel, as a whole, remains DEVASTATINGLY MEDIOCRE.

And Room Service & Room 33 are flops aside from Iris and Liz's presences. Not you talking about aesthetics when Coven is the WINNER of aesthetics throughout all seasons.
