And why is it that the momentum Red has generated post-album the same as Speak Now?

And you are forgetting the Scammys'10 backlash + ppl starting to wonder that She's not as "innocent" after JM thing. And not exactly a flop since other set of audience were just starting to warm up to Her after one-two punch of Ours/Sacred & Superior, and She was not completely off the radar in Pop radio as well, thanks to Dr. Puke & B.o.B.

Time slows down whenever you're around
But can you feel this magic in the air?
It must have been the way you kissed me
Fell in love when I saw you standing there

Both Red's and Speak Now's MC scores are equal. Red is reviewed by 23 reviews while Speak Now is 20, which is an advantage of Red(more reviews = likely to low scores)
Troll review argument is invalid since lowest review in MC is 40, both for Red and Speak Now. Then we have 3 60's for Red while 2 for Speak Now. The rest are positive reviews for both of them.
Also, most of the higher reviews of Speak Now are the ones that were reviewed later. You can check out here:
http://www.metacritic.com/music/spea...critic-reviews
Actually with a quick interpretetion, you can say that both are considered more or less the same, if you look objectively. Similar # of reviews (23,20) distribution of reviews are similar (3 mixed vs 2 mixed) , (20 positive, 18 positive)
So, we can conclude that critics consider both album as the same, so critically REd = SN

Oh btw, Clayd..... At you being another flop who have only did surface level of reading when it comes to "Biblical Story" -- am disappointed in you. Like, how hard is it to connect the Scarlet Letter reference with the Romeo & Juliet story line? Don't let the MV fool you bb.

SHE HAS LOST A CHUNK OF HER FANBASE BY GOING POP
----> WANEGBT opens with more than 600k first week.
----> Promo singles open with more than twice the number of SN's.
----> Red opens with 1.2 mllion copies, 200k more than SN.
----> Red has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide, 1 million more than SN.
----> Red Tour becomes Her highest grossing tour.
Yes, She has obviously lost a chunk of Her fanbase.
I too am not very fond of Max and Johan's less than stellar productions. The live renditions of the MM tracks were far superior to their studio versions and I believe Taylor had a huge hand in mixing them. I remain optimistic and hope that Lord will have more input this time around when it comes to the instrumentation of the tracks.

People living in the US better go see The Giver once it's out (even if it's limited) and tell me how bad her acting is. These types of film gets released a lot later in the UK, but I'll read the reviews first.

For award shows, we should seperate 2 types of award shows;
1) Industry award shows
2) Fan-voted award shows
I'm just looking the serious award shows to make it simpler
Industry award shows:
Grammys:
2 Win for Speak Now but the album won nothing, and the album was represented nowhere in the general filed
Red won nothing, but it got 2 general field nominations.
Billboard Music Awards:
Red won 8 awards
Speak Now won 3 awards
CMA Awards:
Speak Now won 1
Red won Pinnacle & International Artist Achievement awards
Brit Awards:
Red got 1 nomination, Speak Now got nothing
ACM Awards: Excluding EOTY (which is fan voted) SN won 1 award, Red won nothing (but it still has a chnace)
Fan voted awards:
VMAs
Red won 1, SN won nothing
AMAs
Red won 5, SN won 4
EMAs Red won 3, SN won nothing
CMT SN won 1, Red won nothing
And i didn't include here, but Red won zillions of nods and awards at some other international award shows.
So, we can see that, for the fan voted awards, Red is definitely superior compared to SN. For industry awards, it's debateable, you can claim either Red or SN is superior both can be correct. But overall, for the total # of awards;
Red > SN. Fact #3

If Max Martin songs don't smash, then there's something wrong there. Hence why Katheryn managed to top Hot 100 five times in one album cycle.
I just wonder how many of those are bandwagoners. Or those who only like MM tracks and actually dislike the original Taylor sound? My friend's sister actually said this: "Eh, Taylor Swift's new album only has 3 good songs." I asked what are those three, she said that she only enjoys the MM tracks. "The rest are too wordy and sort of boring." (I fumed a bit at her calling "Holy Ground" suck tbh.)
How many of those new fans who translated to long term stans to replace those who jumped the ship, not just with one album era? Because, (okay) take Skittles for examples, how far she would go for Her was really laudable.
Speaking of live mixing, woo lawd @ IKYWT live mix. It actually sounds so holy.

@TayLord: Skittles was a LEGENDARY Disciple. One of the original stans. Like bisch flew all the way from Seattle to Nashville just for Preach Now release week for example. Truly a role model.

And finally, Red was also in so many year-end lists.. Just check out this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_(Ta...bum)#Accolades
...
And, so what about RS' 50 Greatest Female Albums Ever list ? That list was released before Red's release date, so pointing it out is meaningless.

Factually, Speak Now was included on year-end lists & RS' 50 Greatest Female Albums Ever. Red only has the former.

If we are not having actual Stand Your Ground (to Death)....... I want to have nice things too.
Question, if selling 4M without smash singles is considered a flop, then what should we call Red's numbers?
Donut try Preach Now.
