The groups were both great tonight, they stepped up, SK for the first time showed real potential as a group. OTY I knew would be great and they didn't disappoint. At this point I don't even care about the corny because they can totally do corny this week.
Simon was right with his comment to Paul, he needs to chill a bit because he's good and could have a good career as a local artist. Andrea did what I wanted him to do for weeks and was good, still hasn't shown any relevance to the music scene but atleast he tried something different. Jack was just bad this week which is a shame, it felt like a big set up, biggest problem was his reluctance to grow as a performer.
Lola started off great but when the performance kicked in it became obvious that she has no real star quality and she doesn't even have a killer voice to compensate for it. Lauren could have slayed if she were a performer but she doesn't seem to be the type of artist who works well with choreo. Her voice is versatile but she isn't.
I appreciated seeing Ben do something more uptempo and really utilize the stage but he really needs to step out of his comfort zone with these songs, like it's so disappointing seeing someone so talented have such a narrow mind with his songs, he refuses to take any risks and would rather sing straight covers of songs. Stevi didn't really prove anything his voice is still weak.
I don't like Jay he comes across a smug but he's nailed it I could see him having some sort of career with the type of music he sings, he's gone out of his way to show he has some variety to him which is admirable. Fleur was great, I didn't get Mel's comment I mean it's true but however well you sing whilst doing choreo you will still sound better doing it without. I just enjoyed it so much she nailed the performance aspect of it and it had such an epic feel to it.
Betting Odds - Ladbrokes (I'll use the same bet service for all of them).

Could we end up getting a Lola vs Andrea singoff?
PLEASE!
So far in the competition FB likes have been good indicators of who's going in the bottom 2.

I'm predicting Lola and Paul could be bottom 2
They don't get to pick the songs. They can ask for songs but their mentor will often overrule them and even then Simon personally has final say. I highly doubt Jay wanted to do a bad d&b reworking of Mad World, I really doubt Jack wanted BL, I'm pretty sure Lauren would have preferred something which would have less of a performance.
Week 4 is usually the point when a winner emerges, if not earlier (Sam Bailey and Little Mix in Week 4, Matt Cardle in Week 2/Bootcamp really ) but honestly I can't say. I would have said OtY had pulled an ET if they hadn't been in the singoff last week, Lauren showed lack of ability in uptempo numbers, Ben is too pigeonholed, Jay doesn't have the charisma/talent... this is really hard this year.
Has the lead singer of Stereo Kicks always had such a weird face when he sings? And why hasn't Mel said anything to them about the obvious use of pre recorded vocals when Fleur ended up in all the papers because of it

I think it's fairly obvious, and has been from the start of the live shows, that Lauren will win the season.

Well:
-The thing was a setup for Fleur to have a cry-ey VT and 'prove Mel wrong'.
-And the judges are told what to say and if this whole Stereo Kicks rescue mission is gonna end up working they can't have judges saying they can't sing.

Not really. She did well in Week 1 but it was still kinda precarious, I would have agreed in Week 2 it was probable but last week was shaky and DH showed that she wasn't very versatile with uptempo songs, which tbh reminds me of how they took down Janet Devlin (never forget ).
Right now Lauren, Ben and Fleur are the only three who look like they have potential to win but each have their drawbacks.

But Janet idontknowha had nothing on Lauren. Amelia >
Also saying that an artist does not do upbeat doesn't mean they won't win. See: Sam Bailey.
The results will be: Lauren - 1st, Andrea - 2nd, one of the overs (not Stevi) - 3rd.

1) That statement is wrong on any level and if you say that again i will be forced to report you for trolling/nicknaming/blasphemy.
2) Not really. The moment i realised she would win was in Week 4 when she performed Enough Is Enough (or whatever it was called), which was upbeat. I can't remember a single winner who can't do upbeat besides Leon, but in all fairness he couldn't do anything.

I get that but the thing is what Simon is doing with Jay is working, he charts well and hasn't been in the bottom yet, they need to be more imaginative with Ben.

I feel like Fleur has momentum growing behind her, the moment she does a ballad (well) she'll be a real contender, her odds are getting better every week. I'd be happy with her just getting into the final tbh
