i liked the season 2 show runners too!! They were such fan boys and great at explaining the season + giving us good teases for the future of the series..
idk 6 episodes for the third season, kinda sounds like MTV's throwing in the towel and wrapping things up we'll see....
Season 1 had a different set of people in charge of the show's creative direction. They were replaced for season 2 but now they're replacing the S2 showrunners for next season.
Imo, the season 2 showrunners were the best because they were actual horror fans. Who knows who they'll replace them with.
They're never gonna make a Scream 5. Kevin Williamson had a whole storyline planned for the new Scream Trilogy (4-6) but he got into a fight with the Weinstein brothers. He got kicked off set towards the end of the film and they hired someone else to rewrite the ending (the hospital scene). Scream 4 underperformed and those two still haven't reconciled so yeah, I highly doubt it will happen .. .
They could get someone else to write it but I don't like someone else just taking over that vision since Williamson had a full trinity planned and written.
Now with Wes Craven gone, would they even bother? It was his baby wasn't it? I feel like without him it's just not right
