I'm listening to the full album for the second time so that I can review it and it starts off in the best way. "Run Away with Me" is one of the biggest bops of the year. The best way ever to start an album: the listeners will sure be impressed and will want to go on!
"E·MO·TION" is even better than the opening track imo. It somehow reminds me of the late 00s dance pop bops like "Evacuate the Dancefloor", I just love it. I need the album asap.
"I Really Like You" is one of my most played songs of the year and this says it all.
"Gimmie Love" could've had a better production, it feels like it's an unfinished song, but I like it anyway. Just underwhelming compared to the rest so far.
"All That" creates a fantastic atmosphere. The most 80s influenced song on the album by far, and a needed break from the uptempo bops that were the first four tracks.
"Boy Problems" sounds like something Taylor Swift would record I feel like it should've been more guitar-driven... the album could've lived without it.
"Making the Most of the Night" has a different sound from the other songs. I'd describe it as "pressing". Definitely an outstanding tracks but I don't see it as single material.
"Your Type" is another of my favorite tracks. I love how hypnotic it is.
"Let's Get Lost" has one of the catchiest choruses of the album but again, it sounds unfinished, like "Gimmie Love".
"LA Hallucinations" has great lyrics but musically it falls flat.
"Warm Blood" takes me to another world. You either love it or hate it. It definitely stands out on the album, it's Carly's "Heavy Metal Lover" tbh.
"When I Needed You" serves major 80s realness and it closes the album in a fun way (let's say I expected a ballad and I got this bop, I'm really glad).
I feel like it should've been more guitar-driven... the album could've lived without it.
