1) Violet looks like the same Violet from the movie (even though I know it's not)
2) I wish Jude Law was still the voice/character of Lemony Snicket
3) Not sold on Neil yet
4) High-key want Meryl Streep to play Aunt Josephine again
The amount of views the teasers have gotten are insane. Even Haters Back Off promo on Netflix' YouTube page, which stars a very popular YouTube personality, has less views & the teaser has only been out a couple days.
Always forget there's a thread for this on here, honestly can't wait.
Do we have confirmation of the definite number of episodes + number of books covered in the first season? I heard first four books? That makes me a little disappointed, I was hoping the season would be around 10-12 eps covering no more than the first two books. The film was great + fun but it definitely tried to squeeze too much into a couple of hours. I hope the same doesn't happen with this.
Still not certain on Neil but that trailer did make me feel a lot better about it!

Each episode will probably be around 45 minutes like most Netflix episodes and it's been confirmed the first 4 books will be in the first season, with 2 episodes being dedicated to each book. Obviously Netflix don't want to rush this since the later seasons will cost a lot of money to produce. They'll want to make sure people will watch so are testing the waters wit season 1. They shouldnt have must to worry about though, the teasers are garnering an insane amount of views compared to other videos they have on YouTube. I wouldn't be surprised if this gets renewed within a few days of the premiere like Fuller House.
Jim Carrey was terrible as Count Olaf, I don't get the love for that portrayal.
But NPH has definitely got my attention.
"You haven't the fffffaintest idea." *goosebumps*
Not totally diggin the eye tattoo, but whatevs.
The VFD symbol showing up as a maze at Uncle Monty's is dope.
This coming out on the first Friday the 13th is genius.
I'm so hyped.
I'm beginning to suspect they just merged the bald man with the long nose with the hook-handed man, or scrapped the bald man altogether.
It looks good, perhaps a bit more "cartoonish" than what I was expecting. I remember really liking the movie, and this is obviously going to be its own thing.
The trailer was great, very excited. However I am concerned about the amount of humour/jokes in the trailer, I don't want it campy and funny like the movie was, they need to reflect the true darkness of the books.
Hopefully the jokes feel more spread out in the actual episodes.
