OFFENSIVE TO FEMINISM I screamed and it's safe to assume Taylor had more input and cares more about her album than Beyonce did with hers.

lol I'm always at a loss at what to say to posts like these. Is it safe to assume that? Really? Please tell me what makes you so confident in this assumption. Unless you were present in both studios and are in both their minds it's impossible to say who is more invested in their album.
You could argue on both sides that the care they show and their involvement is just PR, so don't try that.

Taylor wrote an album byherself ALONE, and co-produced it with 1 producer
And she has always being credited for every single song in all her albums and it's the co-executive producer of all her albums
Of course her involvement in her albums is WAY BIGGER
Call me when Beyonce does that

I'm looking at the credits for 1989. I see one song only that lists her as the only writer. The majority of the rest have three writers listed, and the rest have two. Impressive, but not "ALONE". She is credited as producer for 6/13 songs. And yes she shares executive production with Max Martin.
Comparing that to 4, Beyoncé's songs use no less than 3 writers for a song (but for I Was Here which is solely Diane Warren). That is made up by the fact that she co-produced EVERY song on the album, being one of two producers for 5/12 tracks. Beyoncé also does her own vocal production and is the SOLE executive producer of her album as she was on BEYONCÉ and IASF, and B'Day, and she has been involved in the production, writing, etc. since day one.
So their contributions differ, Taylor writers more and Beyoncé produces more, but it's clearly not a case of one having WAY MORE involvement in their album(s). Especially so if you are not the only executive producer of your album.

I think they were referring to Speak Now. They should've soecified that though.

Oops. Okay thanks for clarifying.
So yes that is more involvement but one cannot say that an artist doesn't care about their album as much as someone who writes it all themselves. Beyoncé still cares about her albums even though she collaborates more often. She wants the best possible album and if she can identify areas that she needs help in, then that's caring too. Its pointless to speculate and then use that as an argument against someone else.

I'm sure someone has said this already, but:
Beyoncé: As an event in pop music history, this album is way more impressive. The madness and hype in those 24 hours was unprecedented, and we'll probably never get that moment back ever again. No one will be able to pull that off again. Beyoncé won't get a moment like that ever again.
1989: In terms of consistency as an album seller, the 600K in one day is more impressive. Taylor has proven herself to be a reliable force in the music industry. She's probably the only player right now that is this consistent. She may have a massive amount of promo, but she's not relying on any gimmicks or surprises to sell her album; people just genuinely like the music, and they're choosing to buy it. The fact that this single day figure is bigger than most single week figures for major pop artists should say something. Even if you hate her, this is an incredibly impressive feat.

Both albums are impressive. The fact "BEYONCČ" was released out of no where, had one promotion slot and still sold 2M+ copies in today's market is incredible, and truly innovative.
"1989" is just remarkable that she was able to sell 1M+ copies in the first week, truly astounding.
We shouldn't be comparing these two women, we should be praising their success.

Beyonce, definitely...But Taylor's impact is really close...like, with the low sales we have seen lately I didn't expect to see her selling over 1 million with 1989.

Beyonce, because when it's all said and done it will be remembered more. It was a "where were you and what were doing" type of event. Taylor's sales are extremely impressive, but they won't matter much in the long run when her popularity starts to fade.

It's been pretty evident she gave writing credits to a lot of them only because of how much she wanted to work with them(tedder and Imogen)
So stop trying.

lmfao you're acting like people outside of this pop forum and other pop forums were talking about the Beyonce album because literally like I was the only person in my social circle who had any idea about the album and the surprise release. With 1989 people who only know a few Taylor songs are going crazy saying that the album is amazing and that Taylor has changed for the better. and 1989 is already getting more press than the beyonce album tbh

Beyoncé for me. It's not about the sales but the music in it. I remember the next day BEYONCÉ came out I downloaded it and was just slayed to the moon and beyond. The whole album dominates my 25 Most Played on my iPhone lol
