Laughable how some Lana fans trying to act like Sam has some advantage. Lana is coming right off the back of a 4.5 million album! Sam is a brand new artist only been visible for few months.

Sams sales are incredible. Lana's are ok but nothing special considering. I dont see her album having same longevity as Born to die whereas I see Sams album hanging around sometime.

sorry but thats utter BS. You think those 4.5 million who bought her recent last album dont know she has new music out? Theres no better promo than coming off the back of a smash album. None whatsoever.

Who gives a **** about the previous era? Just look at Lady Gaga, she came from a 6kk (1,1kk debut) album and sold like 30-40% of it with ARTPOP, and she had radio, hits and tv apparences. No shade bc I DO love her, but it just shows that things are unpredictable and you can't base one era on another one. Lana doesnt have a tv appearance since 2012 and got no radio support with the first single WC, whereas Sam is the new ''it'' guy, its going everywhere and has a top10 hit.

I suggest you to stay away from Lanas threads bc youre clearly obsessed.

Where did I say they came from the US? Over one million did and thats big league for an artist in the US. Trust me, I dont think her global sales will be overly great either.

The reason follow up albums flop following a smash album is very simple; fans hear the new music and just dont like it. I even started a thread when West coast came out asking if this lead single would be bad for her new albums sales. A few Lana fans laughed. But I stand by that because I know for a fact a lot of Born to die fans just do not like her new music. Nothing to do with lack of promo. Theyve heard it and dont like it enough to invest their $$$.

He said that because he believed that, simple as that. I believe that Sam deserves the top spot much more than Lana because his output puts her album to shame. However, I still think that Lana will get the top spot, which is logical for a singer who sold over 1 million of the first album in the US. Sam's accomplishment, even at No. 2 but with such big sales, is much more impressive.
