With a population of 38 million people, California is the largest US state. That's 5 million more people than the entire country of Canada(in a MUCH smaller area)!

Went to Los Angeles once a few years ago. HUGE city with a lot to do. I loved it!
Sacramento is so damn underrated. I was there last week and explored a lot of the city all by myself, just walking. I didn't even feel uncomfortable or in danger for the entire time. It's also spread out too so it's not crowded most of the time.

I've never done anything in Sacramento. Just drove through it a bunch of times. But it doesn't seem like a dangerous city does it get a reputation of one?

The crime rates are apparently higher than San Francisco's, but other than that, I don't think so.
I don't like it here Maybe because I've done almost everything fun there is
For tourists it's cute but living here is so different But I live in affluent Orange County away from the city so I cant complain

I've lived in LA since 2010, really like living here but I think a lot of people have a misconstrued view of the city. There's a lot of homeless in more southern parts, and a lot of poor people who I imagine are part of the thousands that come weekly to try be stars. I work in Thousand Oaks which is a neighborhood just outside LA county, most of you might know it as the place where Britney Spears lives - it's a small town but really, really affluent.
The one cool thing every now and then is seeing the commotion around a famous person - usually you don't see who they are, but you see photographers every now normally in West Hollywood or Studio City. If you're coming to visit, definitely check out Universal Studios it's better than the Florida park IMO, and the original Disneyland isn't actually in LA it's down in Anaheim, it's a fun park but the Florida version is definitely better.
Best things about LA: huge selection of places to eat, tons of entertainment especially at night, lots of shopping and great scenery.
Worst thing about LA: Traffic can be terrible. Hours-in-your-car terrible, I'm not exaggerating. You need to learn as many shortcuts as you can to avoid major roads like the 405 during rush hour, and public transport is terrible for the most part. On the flipside, there's great roads to drive on if you enjoy driving - two best ones are the standard Pacific Coast Highway drive, but Mulholland Drive is a great road with awesome bends and great views of the whole of LA.

We were sitting in traffic for 4 hours getting from Downtown LA to Anaheim. It was only suppose to take 35 minutes
