I stopped being as huge of a fan during the Fame Monster between Telephone and Alejandro.
IDK what happened. I felt robbed of Monster not being the third single for TFM.
During this time I went from Major fan to just a fan
BTW (era) on I went from fan to listener of the singles only
Oddly enough I went from being a fan of Katy Perry to major fan during California Gurls (E.T. sold me as a stan)
As Gaga said, music not the bling.
If you're gonna abandon her due to a era not as successful as her past ones it's time to quit being a fan of an artist in general.
No, I won't. No other pop star is as interesting as her even when she's flopping. Beyonce is great but she doesn't seem as connected to fans. Katy's not that talented and has a lot of hit and miss performances; same as Rihanna. Gaga is the only one that seems to genuinely care about making great music. Tho I am annoyed how she is not promoting or releasing new videos. The ARTPOP era has been rocky, but it is still more enjoyable than Katy, Rihanna, or Beyonce's eras
Why not choose the superior, kind-hearted free spirit that loves her fans with all her heart? Kesha will resurrect as indie pop queen next era.
Better jump on the bandwagon while you can. The time is now.
I mean there are things that I don't agree with especially how this era was handled but it's not all her fault.
I am not gonna abandon her because I enjoy her music and that's what it is all about.
I abandoned her completely as soon as I heard Cake Like Lady Gaga. Such an awful song. Then she only made things worse when ARTPOP came out. Really weak album, especially when compared to her previous albums. Such a shame, because I was an absolutely huge fan until the end of the Born This Way album cycle. From there she's just kind of... lost "it".
But no, I won't ever 'abandon' her. I might use her less if the music gets worse but she's still putting out great material so I'm still listening to her. I really don't care what she gets up to outside the studio either; she can do what she wants.
I abandoned her with the BTW era... But then I was hyped for Artpop, hoping for the best from her. When it came out, i was a bit disapointed, but now I really enjoy artpop.
I was turned off with her behavior towards her change of fame with this era, but I'm going the the ARTPOP BALL in july with my boyfriend so for that I'm still with her!
I would've probably cared less if she served us another The Fame Monster (after TFM) but the masterpiece that is Born This Way definitely marked me for life It's my all time fave album and Gaga definitely proved herself with it. I'll always look up to ha.
Why are people voting for Yes when most of them have never even been fans
Why do so many of you stan for charts. NGL I'm an Xtina stan so I'm not used to being on top lately but at the end of the day, its you listening to the music and if you like it then enjoy. Whether or not GUY goes to number 1 doesn't change how much I bop to the song
I still like her music. She's really annoying me though - she's trying so desperately to prove people that she's not over, kind of wallowing in self pity and blaming others for all her mishaps. She should just move on and make music, whatever happens happens.
It's too early for me to judge probably since I'm an ARTPOP monster and not really the targetted crowd being a straight female mid 30. But I rarely "stan" for anyone, the last time was for Nirvana in my teens. They also had that something that made you wanna follow them. Gaga might be in a low looking at the past, but since I just joined this is "normal" for me, I suppose it can only go up from now on. And if not, well that's how the bizz works, they make you and break you.
That does not take away the fact that she was born to be on a stage, her vocals pull you in and touch a nerve. IF ofc you are willing to listen to it. I ignored her for years cause she was everywhere and it was annoying. Rolled my eyes at the meatdress like half the population. Yet here I am, the AMA performance drew me in, I wanted to know more. She blew me away when looking at her stripped back piano performances and lookin at live performances...what a show, she gets you on the edge of your seat. Now THAT's what I wanted to see in a star. So all in all I think I'm here for the long haul.
