If "Sail" does indeed take off on Pop, it could challenge for Mraz's 76 weeks on the Hot 100. I think "Sail" is in its 46th or 47th week now.

Lets not forget We Are Young, Pumped Up Kicks, even Too Close took forever... But I remember Some Nights taking an eternity... That's why many alternative songs can't hit #1 and get stuck at #3 for multiple weeks. Just look Pumped Up Kicks peaked at #3, Some Nights peaked at #3, Ho Hey peaked at #3, and now Radioactive peaked at #3. All four songs clearly could have been #1's... I just hope Sail doesn't get a #3 peak too

People have said that about every alternative song basically... But the US does come around usually. Pumped Up Kicks, We Are Young, Somebody That I Used To Know, Too Close, Everybody Talks, Some Nights, Ho Hey, Radioactive, Sail, etc...

Just 4-5 years ago you would have never thought these songs could impact top 40 let alone the entire US because of there "harshness" as you claim these songs have.

It was almost Top 60 and another version at 115 in France 2 days ago but she decrease on the weekend I expect it to climb a lot next week
