Am I the only one who hates the backstory? I get that it's an 80s reference, but being that the original Scream came out in '96 and that's the same timeframe as the backstory, they should have made it more of a 90s throwback. It would make much more sense imo.

This is being really badly misquoted and blown out of proportion. All the showrunners said was that there'd be some Cotton Weary moment, where it LOOKS like the killer is outed but there's either another killer waiting or the person caught wasn't really the killer. You can EASILY fit that into Season 1 vs. dragging it out for 5 seasons, which so isn't gonna happen

The show would completely lose steam

It would have been nice for them to have some Dewey and Gale type of characters too. They are a major part of what makes Scream the series that it is.

I would be sooo here for Brooke as the final girl, considering she easily has the most charisma out of all the characters.

If she ends up as the killer, I would love to hear her motive, since she has her own shady stuff going on.

I'd like if she surivived and played a major part in the season finale. She's the only who isn't being showed as a potential killer so it would be actually cool and unpredictable if she was one of the killers

Y'all have never seen Harper's Island or you wouldn't be getting your hopes up for Brooke as a survivor. They're gonna be Emma, Audrey, Noah, and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe Kieran.

As for Brooke, I like her, but Jake is way funnier and more entertaining as far as douchey/bitchy characters go, and I think the actor has a bit more charisma. I still remember a lot of his scenes whereas all I remember from Brooke is the "Is one keg enough?" line, actually

I watched Harper's Island like three years ago and the only thing I remember is that the killer turned out to be the one who I never suspected, lol

If all of them survive it will be sooo boring

Audrey is the one who needs to live considering that all of that started with her video. Emma doesn't have the X factor of a final girl. She's boring, emotionless and just ugly. I remember watching Scream as a kid and admiring Sidney. Damn, she was so strong and I actually felt sorry for her.
The same applies to Kieran. Noah.. I'm still not sure about him.

Audrey and Brooke are the one who needs to live but the show is written by basic writers who don't have balls to do anything unpredictable and original so Emma definitely lives

I had the killer spoiled, but that was stolen from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. No joke.

(Actually, the whole thing is kind of a superior I Still Know ripoff)

I like Noah a lot, actually. Audrey has potential. I need to actually see more of Kieran to have an opinion. Agreed on Emma (minus ugly)

I'd say Jake/Noah/Brooke. Probably in that order. Audrey would be fine too, I'm already preparing my hate post for when Emma lives. I'm SO OVER that over-three-decade-old archetype. It just doesn't cut it anymore

I'm becoming less worried about ratings. i read this interview and one of the producers said MTV will be looking at other stats besides the ratings (which is probably how much money it's making on Amazon VOD/iTunes and the views on the episodes on YouTube).

I don't know, reading the director's comments it feels like the season is going to end with a fake killer being caught and that is disappointing. Each season should be like the movies, a group of killings. Keep the survivors each season and just move on to different themes, they could mimmick the movies too, having season 1 be HS, 2 be collegue, 3 be film oriented, etc.

Also, I want the killer to be the main girl. But seeing the director's comment, I feel like the killer is a character that's not introduced yet. A mess, the spirit of Scream is that the killer was someone from inside the group, if this serves some Elephant resucited, his brother or someone that does not relate to the protagonists, I will be disappointed.

Didn't know they had TWO Scream series coming out this year
