Autotuned voice and crazy beat production are two characteristics but it isn't neccesary. Other examples could be Boom Boom Pow, I Gotta Feeling, WFL and WHYB. There are many more examples.

Exactly. If you're not a stan of hers, then you wouldn't know what she's been up to (the general public still thinks she's on a media break). Only stans are the ones getting their feelings hurt. That's why I had to unfollow her & stop receiving text message alerts to my phone when she tweets (lol) so I don't get overhyped/disappointed when the next album comes.
