She announced the release date for the album and the single on January 1st.
...why is everyone assuming this era has to be like BTW?
She could release it the day after she tells us the title for all we know. I doubt her label will let her have enough time to hype the hell out of the album before release again.
An artists plays his album several times for the label during the different stages. Now is the demo stage - she plays all the stuff for the people at Interscope, they say if they like the direction and if it's ok they usually choose the songs that will make the album and the first single. Then we go into mastering, mixing and all that stuff. And the marketing machine starts.
im just mad that everyone was complaining about the promotion for BTW it was fine + you would be excited to promote your album which will help people in life. the only thing that hurt her in the btw era was the singles she chose ! other then that it was fine ! i hope she does more promo instead of just dropping the album out of nowhere !
A fall release would've been fine if she wasn't still touring for the last album. It becomes so messy. And aside from that, it seems like this album is gonna be another tourbus-record....can she not take some time to go into an actual studio.

She was recording in the studio from August until the tour started.
Album release is scheduled for October - November release. Lead single will most probably be in the break in July - August.
Still I'm so ****ing excited to see where she's gonna go next. I feel like her career thus far has been kinda planned out and predictable, but I have absolutely NO idea what kind of theme she's going with for this new one

Tbh, I'm mad that people are still stuck on it. Dammit they couldn't WAIT for the next era, but now that it's almost here they're still talking about the miserable flop of last era. I don't get it tbh. They need to just let it go.

For all we know she has been recording since a bit before the tour started like Back in January. There's been some time where she has been seen walking into studios with Fernando and such.
