I am bothered that they never mention Kate Bush.....She deserves so much more credit and has influenced in some ways probably all of those artists you mentioned.

Casual posters and common people think that....i don't see/feel Janet that big, she has amazing achivements, i don't know why this happens.

Janet is a pop great, at least in America, for sure. I guess most people forget about her achievements though because of the super bowl accident, which is fairly unfortunate.

Are you being sarcastic? I like Janet a lot but let's be real she's not percived as big as Madonna or MJ, and that's a fact, outside of US at least.
That's what Janet gets for milking her brothers burial more than any of her other siblings. I mean, the world tour, the 'self help book', the Vma's 'tribute', the resultant roles with Tyler Perry etc. We could go on.
I'll give you Number Ones, but lord knows that her book and movie roles would've happened regardless. And the tribute doesn't even count, since it was the first time she had done ANYTHING public since he passed. And it's not like she was promoting herself.
Speaking on Janet, it is a shame that she gets overlooked

The fact that Britney took Janet's schtick and went on to outsell her has always been weird to me.
& That's not shade to Britney.
Janet deserves more than what she's given at certain times.
But in the black community she can be seen as untouchable as her brother.
I'm glad she's improving her touring viability & is slowly starting to rebuild.
But it's sad to think that she might never reach her TRUE peak if she had kept her popularity at a constant rate without interruptions.
A black GIRL. There was no male pop star who stoud out as much as Michael in his days and still now. People try to make that white boy Justin T happen but the lack of talent compared to MJ is too apparent.
However, there is a LOT more white GIRLS pop stars. So for a black girl to stand out, she has to be more than amazing or/and have the best team of producer behind her who provide her with top notch hits.
This is why Janet is never mentionned while she is clearly more talented than girls like Madonna for example.
i knew about her music in the All For You era and i felt in love with her, so i did a research and i became her fan, but only from Janet to date , i don't like at all her 80's music, it's too MJ and i HATE MJ
