Finally back home! That was quite the trip, even though it was only four days. It seems way longer.
First I'll write a bit about the trip itself. Taking the train from the airport to Milan turned out to be a waste of time. I really disliked this city the moment I set foot there. Very busy, very chaotic, gross looking... the people also looked tired and rude. I have no idea why Tiziano is in love with Milan. But to be fair, I didn't give it much of a chance, I only checked out the central train station and surrounding areas. The other areas are probably a lot nicer. But I never bothered to check them out, I was exhausted (not having slept much the night before) and just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. So I jumped on the next high speed train to Turin, a very comfortable trip.
Thankfully, Turin felt completely different. The people were less grumpy, more relaxed, and even the city center looked really nice, great architecture. Also, Turin is very very green. Trees and parks everywhere. I thought it was even greener than a typical Dutch city. I spent most of the days just walking around the parks admiring everything. I also LOVE the free water fountains everywhere, the water is delicious, and much needed since it was very hot and sunny. Perfect weather really, I couldn't have chosen a better week.
Had a lot of amazing food too, finally some real pizza (so different compared to what I'm used to!), spaghetti, piadina, a lot of delicious panini... heaven! Just not enough time to try everything. Unfortunately since I was on my own, I wasn't brave enough to really experiment with some crazy dishes, I'd have been too embarrassed if I couldn't finish the meal.
Oh and the ice cream!! I think I got some whenever I saw the word "gelateria".

Mmmmhmmm.
The sightseeing itself got old pretty quick, I'm really not much of a museum person, there's Wikipedia for that. Even the Egyptian museum was boring me. The architecture everywhere was gorgeous though, and always the mountainous areas on the horizon, and the snowy Alps. I went up to the Basilica of Superga, and looking down on Turin from there... absolutely stunning.
Some other things:
- Public transport in Turin was surprisingly awesome, you can get anywhere very quickly, and it was only €10 for a 3-day ticket, really a steal.
- Although it's quite strange that I must've hopped on like 30+ buses and trams and my ticket was never checked even once.
- Traffic in Italy is really crazy, the traffic lights are more like a rough guide, all the cars and bikes and pedestrians are just going in all directions, it's a miracle I didn't witness even one accident.
- Too many children!! Everywhere I went there were large groups of children! I think they picked this week to go on their school trips.
- I tried to speak Italian but it was really a mess, eventually I gave up and started every interaction with "parla inglese?"

Thankfully "a little bit" was the most common answer. I'm getting pretty good at reading and listening but to speak it I'd need some serious practice.
Anyway, on to the main event:

TIZIANO FERRO
Let me get the bad things out of the way. First of all, the entrance. It looks sooo fake when you're actually there!

I already figured he is not in the cube when it's descending (his movements were always exactly the same) but after seeing it live I felt so stupid for having even believed it for a second.

But it's alright, it's the idea that matters.
The sound also wasn't great, I thought my ears just needed to adjust to the volume, but there was a LOT of distortion. Sometimes I could barely hear Tiziano because the instruments were drowning him out. It did get a little better as the concert went on, but still below the standard. I'm hoping the sound will be better in Brussels which is a smaller venue.
But those are just minor complaints really, because the concert itself was really ****ing amazing. The whole crowd was sooo into it. His lyrics are even more powerful and amazing when there are thousands of people singing them in unison. AMARE NON È UN PRIVILEGIO È SOLO ABILITÀ, È RIDERE DI OGNI PROBLEMA, MENTRE CHI ODIA TREMA!!!

Chills. And despite the sound issues he still sounded so ****ing amazing live.

His voice is so powerful, so unique, so beautiful, so versatile, so incredible.
Some random comments:
- During L'amore è una cosa semplice he didn't hold the note like he did in the youtube videos I've seen.

He took a breath between dimostrerò and adesso. But it's okay. It was the first song and I could barely hear him.

- I didn't feel like the people around me were as much into E fuori è buio as I was.

I ****ing LOVE that song, it's my anthem, and I was like having an orgasm while everyone else was relatively calm.

- Same with Ed ero contentissimo, for me it was the highlight of the concert, and I got most emotional during this song, as it was really the start of my love for him. Such an amazing, amazing, amazing song.

- When he started dancing he accidentally knocked his cap off his head.

His face was sooo adorable.
- Like I said in my tweets yesterday, at the end everyone was really singing along loudly, so Non me lo so spiegare and Ti scatterò una foto were both extremely amazing. We were all one, all there to worship Tiziano.

- And I didn't want to focus on this in my report but it's true, he is really ****ing hot in person.

I was like, daaamn. But silly me I was still closing my eyes half the time because I got so swept away by the music.
- I thought he would use the "runway" part of the stage more! I didn't realize that most of the time he stays on the main stage.
- Even though he sang non-stop for two hours, it still seemed way too short!! Maybe it's cause I have listened to his songs sooooo much the past seven months, two hours is really a blip.
- The only fan I ended up talking to was the girl who sat next to me (the seat on the other side remained empty), she was nice. She was surprised I came all the way from the Netherlands for this. But she told me that her favorite albums are the first two, and she hadn't read either of the books, so she was kind of a flop fan. But it's alright, was fun to talk to someone in real life about Tiziano, for me that was unique in itself.

- I was glad to have seats because my feet were killing me after three days of walking through Turin. But in Brussels I'm gonna try and stand close to the stage.
- The merchandising really is hideous, I didn't buy anything.

I need that AMORE = SEMPLICE shirt that he wears at the end.
I think that's all I have to say for now.

The trip was sooo worth it. I love him. Love that I've seen him with my own eyes. The perfect artist, the perfect man.

Tiziano.
