I think Enchanted is more challenging for her to sing well.
Btw, Happy Brithday!

David Nail Sings Taylor Swift’s Praises
David Nail spent some time on the road with Taylor Swift last year on her Speak Now Tour, and when Ladies Home Journal asked him what he learned from touring with her, he had some glowing words of praise for Taylor. He said, “I learned that somebody can sit up there at 21 years old and have 25,000 people in the palm of her hand. And that in reality if she told them all to go to the bathroom, they’d all go to the bathroom. If she told them all to go buy popcorn, they’d go buy popcorn. I’ve obviously not gotten to that point in my career where I can affect that many people. It’s been a long time since this guy’s played and I was 16 or 17 years old the last time I went and saw him, but the only person I’ve seen even remotely close to it is Garth [Brooks]. To have that many people almost in a trance. Fixated on her. Her work ethic and how much control she has over every tiny little detail definitely humbles you and makes you feel like you’re pretty worthless.”

Nice performance. The song really fits her voice and I think the whole break from touring has allowed her voice to rest and will definitely help her performance by the time the Grammys come around

I hope so too!
I'm glad, they'll probably do the music video and put it at the end of the film like what they did with Avril Lavigne's Alice.

I've really been getting into americana music its so amazing and I'm really hoping Taylor has more songs like Safe and Sound but I also want her team to stay creative and have some of those Taylor hybrid songs that are a little bit of everything like rock-pop-country-indie all mixed into one. If she does all that there is no reason why her next album won't be amazing

Those who dislike Taylor, whether because they dislike her as a person or an artist, or whether they dislike her because they feel she threatens the success and recognition of their own musical heroes, always point at her voice as the reason she isn't a great musical artist.
I've never understood why all those random internet bloggers, commentors and music critics never look at the other side of the coin. Why can't they see, that her less-than-technically perfect voice is the biggest argument for her musical genius? If she can accomplish what she has with what they decry as an inability to sing (which I disagree with) imagine what she would have done with a voice like Adele's or some of the other ladies they hold her up against. It just goes to show how truely wonderful her other musical and artistic and personal gifts are, to make up for this (percieved) lack of vocal talent.
As for me, I think her voice, tho technically imperfect at times, is able to express what she wants to in her songs better than some others who are known for their mechanical perfection. So no matter what criticism she gets from those music purists, they havn't been able to destroy her because those who listen with their heart and not just their intellect make a connection to her and her songs.

Welcome to the train dude! Haha.
Americana is the real country imo, and Pop-Country is the mainstream country what the public say as 'country music'.
Oh, I think Taylor should just invent her own genre, since she really is a mix between rock/pop/country/indie.

It's real funny right? As I'd like to borrow the following quote from Naomi Judd:
Quote:
|
Remember the puzzles, “What’s wrong with this picture?” You search for faults, ignoring the overall larger picture.
|
Today's people, with their short attention span and the annoying know-it-all attitude, will find faults from everything, even the less important one, just to attack on someone. They don't want to do the research first, whether they're rightfully wrong or not. Their ego is just too big.
If we look far back in history, the greats were not the one with impressive technical skills. A lot of them were just average at best. But the thing is, they connected to the audience who they spoke to, a very strong one.
Of course improvements are a must for every artist, but we really should not let it overshadow the connection with people.
