Janet has been famous for 31 years, that's double the time Beyonce has been famous. The comparison is not a good one because things become more appreciated with time, no one can appreciate something when it's in their face. And if someone would have compared Janet Jackson to Diana Ross or Tina Turner in the late 80's it would be laughable. Even though Beyonce is more famous than Janet around the globe and always will be Janet is more iconic in the US. Worldwide though Beyonce has her beat and then some, like I said nothing she has done has been as huge as Single Ladies.
