Ha ha ha! Why is this comment better than the actual song?
I will say this for Evanescence: I own
Fallen, and I definitely use some of their songs. But as a music fan, I'm can't help but be relieved that nü-metal has died a much-deserved death in the mainstream.

Well, there goes my #3 song.
Obviously, anything less than a top ten placement for this one is completely ludicrous. But if ATRL voters can unironically name "E.T." and "Feedback" two of the best songs of the last decade, then I'll take "B.O.B." making the list at all as a victory in itself.

Garbage. Let's be honest.

It's funny, but what sounds so kitschy and juvenile now (thanks, "Boom Boom Pow"?) felt like such a refreshingly earnest plea for social consciousness back in the summer of 2003, amidst the explosion of mindless early-aughties hip-hop. That hook is still pretty great, though.

A song for you, Ryan ...

I don't know much about Muse, but damn if this isn't a truly gorgeous song! Its melodramatically expansive scope is
epic, in the most genuinely earned way.

I love me some sassy Beyonce. This is just great pop music, plain and simple.
