I kinda agree with the list except for Taylor part, I mean she's huge in US but she's nothing WW if we compare her album/digital sales with Gaga, Katy or Rihanna
The list is valid for the time frame. Queen of Pop is a major title to give, though, for such a criteria. GaGa obviously is the biggest Pop star now. But Queen of Pop is a collection of things. We can give the time frame 2002-2003 and Jennifer Lopez, Ashanti, etc. would be in the runnings.
Congrats GaGa, though.
But the thing is - no they weren't Jenny and Ashanti were NEVER running things. If this list were from 01-03, Avril or Pink would have probably topped it.
Jenny and Ashanti would have been in the top five too.
Miley is only that high because of Hannah Montana. She'll only keep falling. And Robyn? Is this for the U.S. only? If it was worldwide I would think Robyn would have a higher score.
Mess. So, I guess it's fair to say Gaga is the Queen of the last 2 1/2 years, but that doesn't make her the Queen of Pop.
CURRENT QUEEN OF POP, like for example during 1553-1558 Mary Tudor WAS the Queen of England, in 1558-1603 Elizabeth I was THE Queen of England.
During the 80's and 90's Madonna was the Queen of Pop, Nowadays GaGa IS the Queen.
@ Monsters kissing RS's ass now. They weren't so happy about this some time ago:

But she covers her conceptual bets by rolling out sturdy club-thumpers, and this eight-song EP (included in the reissue and sold separately) is largely on point. "Bad Romance" makes her name a Teutonic chant; "Alejandro" is a loving Abba spoof. Half the disc is Madonna knock-offs, but that's part of the concept — fame monsters needn't concern themselves with originality.
