I really want to conclude this list really soon. Maybe tonight?
Muse's Undisclosed Desire kicks off my top 20 singles for 2010. This is probably the "top-shocker" for my list; since some of you might think that this is quite different from the songs I usually play, or some of you were actually expecting it to be in this year's list but not this high. It is irresistible and I don't know why.
When I first played Alicia Keys' The Element Of Freedom album, this song became my instant favorite. Lovely lyrics plus lovely melody plus lovely vocals equals a perfect song. This song proves that a musically and a technically great song can also have that "radio appeal."
Disappointed? I'm sorry to all the big fanatics of this song who were expecting this to be at least in my top ten; but to be the 18th best song is not bad after all. I wanna thank all the local radio stations, my friends and some strangers for over-playing this song, 'cause that made me like and appreciate this song this much. Regarding its music video, I think it's the best of 2010. By the way, this song makes Rihanna the artist with the most number of entries this year.
The boys from Maroon 5 make their first appearance in this year's list. Misery may not be as awesome as their previous singles; but it still rocks. It's not best song from Hands All Over but it was a perfect choice for the lead single. The polyrhytmic fun and funky pop vibe of the song make it really appealing.
I hate the fact that this song is underrated. Among the songs from Leave This Town, September is one of the least-liked tracks. In my opinion, this is Daughtry's best song yet, and I think I am the only one who likes this song this much. September is a stand out because of the sentiment within the lyrics.
