Katharine McPhee starts off this set of close calls with
'Terrified', I have absolutely no idea why this flopped, I'm sure a lot of people can relate to the feeling of falling in love and describe it as terrifying. Teen icons, Miranda Cosgrove and Selena Gomez, delivered two of my biggest pleasures of the year,
'Kissin' U' is nothing more than a cute song about teen love, while
Round & Round showed a significant growth in Selena Gomez & The Scene, very catchy tune. UK favorite,
Little Boots, released one of the most exciting dance tracks of the year, and the flawless
'Get Outta My Way' gave Kylie Minogue a very deserving comeback to my playlist this year. Country is well represented in this set with two of its most popular acts, Taylor Swift and Lady Antebellum, with
'Fearless', the last effort from the album of the same title, and the nostalgia inducing
'American Honey', respectively. Jennifer Lopez did not officially release a record this year, but if
What Is Love is any sign of what's to come, I'll be first in line when the album comes out. Close to the end of this set is
'For The First Time' by the Irish band The Script, an inspiring track about the rough times and the hope of things getting better.
