he does NOT do well on Spotify. The amount of AirPlay he is getting is absolutely insane....it should be translating way better in steaming if people actually cared. If this were any other artist, you'd be dragging them back and forth for lack of public interest.

I will say that Jystin, unlike Pink, still has potential to appeal to the streaming crowd with the right music. People love him. But this song is awful and generic and very run of the mill so of course it's being ignored to an extent. Its digital run is reminiscent of all those songs that reigned for weeks on end on the Hot Physical chart back in the early 2000s bc it was a dead medium. Will the song even hit 2 million? Lol

You need to have good Streaming if you want to have a remembered hit that's actually big and does well in the long run.

For example all of these songs went Top 5 on Digital, yet failed to go even Top 10 on Streaming since Summer 2015:

H.O.L.Y. has had fantastic streaming figures for a country song- 60s/70s on Spotify and T30 on YouTube since its release.

It should be pulling around 6.1-6.3M streams weekly, barely makes the Top 50 on Streaming Songs chart. You'd be surprised the biggest Country hits usually pulls around 2-3M weekly streams. And actually "H.O.L.Y." has the biggest streams amount for a Country hit that I've ever seen.

Sorry at #26 will single-handedly bomb my predictions this week. I thought for sure it would at least come within a couple spots of the top 20.

Haven't had time to work on early predictions for next week, but I'm hoping for a little more movement within the top 20. Things were exciting there for a minute, but now we're back to stagnant. I'm expecting OD to get 11-13 weeks at top at this point.

I guess that's my one problem with streaming then . I feel like certain songs (anything hip hop & EDM) have the easiest shots at a top 10/#1 when by all other metrics they're not really bigger than other songs. But I guess certain genres always have an easier shot at being a hit. I also can't believe Me Too is stuck in the 90's on Spotify yet top 3 in sales

I see what you mean, but think about how difficult it was for a Hip-Hop song to go Top 10/20 in 2011-2013 during the whole Dance-Pop phase. Before that, Hip-Hop ruled the Hot 100.

Music is just one big cycle tbh.
