That's the reason Alejandro's updates are quite solid.
YLIMD and Alejandro started climbing at the same time only YLIMD was on fire all the way through while Alejandro climbed steady, they are 1.8k spins away from each other, it's kinda logical YLIMD will start havin' more normal updates for some time...Call me when this will get a +10 update, or better yet, when this start to fall...

I'm pretty sure it had under 100 spins update once it got to the Top 5.
and it had some 100+ updates, not just 200+ that's for sure.

Well, I'm not the man to talk to when it comes to official numbers but even so, when RB pulled isn't something that we see alot...Usually all songs got good periods and slow ones.

It's kinda sad/funny how people are so desparte for it to flop that they are all over the song when it got +90 & +70 updates...Some songs would kill for that updates.
You only actin' that way cuz' it had +200 updates most of the time.
Oh, btw, Carry Out got to +10 updates and even nagtive ones and than kept going to and got a higher pick if I remember correctly.

Justify it whatever way you want, but her updates the past two days have been ****. It's not something to worry about as long as things pick up again, but if she continues to get mediocre updates for the next few days then the song is in trouble. YLIMD is way ahead of Alejandro because radio jumped on it, they were eager to replace BBB asap. It was different with Alejandro, Telephone was still huge when it began to increase, so that's why the updates were not as big to begin with. Ke$ha is also only at 7981 spins, if she's going to reach the total needed for a number one position then her updates are going to have to be better. Her biggest competition for number one will probably be Usher, not GaGa. Alejandro will peak after them.

True but it depands how you look at it, if you are looking at it as for hittin' 1 on mainstream it's true but I don't care if she misses that 1 spot but keeps gainin' airplay @ 70 spins update and comin' close to 1.
Cuz' at the end of the day, the AI is what matters for the more important thing, BB Hot 100.
I would love to get both chart @ 1 but not all the time you can have it all.

Yes, but the AI is not going to increase much if she doesn't gain many new spins. I think the reason so many people are disappointment (mainly her own fans/stans) is because they expected the song to go to number 1. It still has a really good chance of doing so, she has a big lead over Usher so it will be a while before he can catch up. Every song has ups and downs, to an extent the updates follow a pattern, they have momentum, so if things pick up again within the next week she should be able to get to number 1.

I think all this week it'll have ok updates due to last weeks big ones and then next week I think it'll pick up again

They're not good though either, it depends on the Artist. For a major Artist they are not good, for a new or unknown act then it would be a good update. With the larger panel, larger updates are to be expected.

This time last week Drug had a +209, and tomorrow i expect the update to be worse because that time last week it got a +250 :-/

"Your Love Is My Drug" was put into power last week, was it not? It was taken out of power this week, was it not? There's your reason. Stations follow Z100's example. Besides, it's update are still positive and over 70! It's not over, by far!
Also, notice how high the top five is. The gap between "In My Head" and "Your Love Is My Drug" is 1,907. It's one of the biggest gaps ever recorded in history inside the top ten. At the moment, it's like the top five is a huge monster. A few months ago, the spin number for "In My Head" would place it at number one, instead it's at number five! The top five is getting really overplayed at the moment. So, for any other song, the number one position is number six. Eventually, the top five is going to stable out. "Rude Boy" and "In My Head" are falling, which will open up spots for "Your Love Is My Drug" and "OMG" in the coming weeks. "Hey, Soul Sister" will start falling soon, leaving a spot open for "Alejandro," and both "Break Your Heart" and "Nothin' on You" will be peaking before May is over and done with. "Your Love Is My Drug" is definitely going top three, there's no doubt about that at all. It's going to take a little bit, but it's getting there. Now, the competition for number one is going to be tough. It's going to have to fight with "OMG" and "Alejandro," but it will be an exciting race.
