So if I guy has a preference for guys while also having a significant sexual attraction to women that doesn't make him distinct from homosexual to you? And what if he prefers women but has a sexual curiosity toward men, he wouldn't be bi in that case either because it isn't 50/50? Silly.

And let me rephrase my previous question:
Let's say that your experience with male Britney stans states that they are gay. And let's also say that in your area of where you live, your experience with black men is that they are criminals. Let's just assume that for the sake of this question. I'm not being racist or anything; just a simple analogy. So those two things provided, would you assume the next Britney stan you met was gay and the next black man you met in your area was a criminal?
|
It's not a simple analogy, that's called a FAULTY ANALOGY. Aside from the fact that one of those has undeniable racist undertones, the REASONS behind both those statistics are so far apart from one another that it's laughable you would compare them.

Would you like if a straight guy told you "so are you straight or ***?"
If even gay people cannot understand what is feeling a transgender person, feeling trapped in a sex that is the opposite of which s/he feels in her head, I can't imagine how most of straight people would understand.
I'm not transgendered but I can understand and respect what skyler is feeling.

I agree however it kinda depends on how aware/smart the person is.
I'm transgender and heading into my surgery in about a year and I was just stubborn. I told everyone that I didn't care what they thought and I immediately got rid of the trans label and just went into womanhood like any other girl when she hits puberty.
It really just is a matter of how natural you make it. But it is a struggle for a lot and something that makes me feel really vulnerable.

I try not to apply equal weight to every stereotype that comes into my vital realm. I have the ability to look at different situations differently, so no, I wouldn't automatically think all black people were criminals just because there were some black criminals in my area. Why can't you look at things differently, like I can? Why must all stereotypes be equally silly when they clearly are not?

Assuming that black men, in general, are criminals would be ignorant because we see many successful and educated black men everyday on TV, for example. I'm not sure if that proves any point, but just needed to point that out.

Because you are trying to lecture everybody when you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, and it's rather pathetic.

Some of you guys have very valid points on what sexuality is, while some of you really can't compartmentalize what sexually is.

It doesn't have undertones of racism, and it's laughable and ridiculous for a reason, actually. Eli's belief is THAT ridiculous to me that I would create such an analogy.
And actually, create a non-faulty one for me. Humor me. If I keep coming up with faulty ones, I want one from you that isn't.

I was going to add that to my post, too. We see CELEBRITIES who are black and smart and successful. So it would never come into question, for me.

I could ask you the same, actually. Why you can't look at a male Britney stan and think they may not be gay?
