Former 7 week number 1 Style may have free-fallen last week (and continues to drop) but former number 1 Love Me Like You Do falls off the chart completely this week. It had an admirable run of 13 consecutive weeks on the chart, with many spent in the top 5, but no longer.
See You Again, it's our new number one this week. Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's song came from out of nowhere, relatively speaking, to claim the number one spot on the chart (Billboard Hot 100 vibes). This marks the first time in the history of this chart (since I have been updating) that the current Billboard Hot 100 #1 and this chart's #1 have synced up. Furthermore, See You Again becomes the first rap/hip-hop number 1 and the first male number one (FourFiveSeconds did include a male artist or two, but that buzz single  song's focus was still arguably putting the focus on Rih).
Maybe it's due to Wiz's song or maybe, and more realistically, due to coincidence, we see a lot of re-entries and debuts across the chart. For one, Taylor Swift's Style bounces back into the top 5 mostly due to some late adopters and charts where the song is just peaking for the first time, it shouldn't be enough to get the song another week at number one, but we'll see (especially since the point threshold for the number one is only a relatively week 23 points despite 54 charts being surveyed). Ellie Goulding's Love Me Like You Do also returns to the chart after falling off last week, and most importantly, we see Ariana Grande returning with Ariana Grande and The Weeknd's Love Me Harder debuts, maybe there was something in the water, but the song was randomly supported by two individual charts (plus my recurrent chart, but that's not charted here and no one cares about that). We also see a couple Britney songs here: Tom's Diner, her cover with Giorgio Moroder (a collab that is odd, but makes strange sense) and current single Pretty Girls at #31. Mariah Carey also debuts for the first time on this chart with Infinity. Somebody we may not see again though is Natalie La Rose, who has had one of the greatest falls in this chart's history with a -30 drop saved from falling off entirely by one point. Also, in danger is Brandon Flowers and Can't Deny My Love, who have suffered two consecutive double digit drops.
As far as charts go, we saw the return of Amaloner and his chart which had mysteriously vanished (I mean we had Ash Hemmo, but lbr, Amaloner and his chart >>>) and Slayley's chart which received a sexy reboot (check it out), and then the banning of Slayley; someday Slayley we will see you again, you will be missed  I will give your chart a bump and play Truffle Butter (which you debuted) in your honor (*insert twerking lingerie football GIF).
Anyway, apologies for the late chart again. I wasn't feeling well for a couple days and busier than I've been to top it all off  But, I finally had the time and I will always find a way to get this thing up one way or another if I say I will. So, here you all go. Bloomchihuahua out
