I don't think I've ever had a #1 I didn't connect to in some way tbh. I guess 9 Rings, that going #1 was a shocker to me because it was so different for me.

Eh. Being able to write from someone else's perspective is an important part of songwriting. If you were a songwriter for a label, you'd write songs for other people from their points of view.
