In the Tv Shows they sacrifice fast paced animation for still shots which can be annoying, which basically means everything happens where the camera stays still and can be so typical. It means everything looks nice, but You often get close up of characters faces all the time, or characters moving with blurry backgrounds etc.
This means it will flow more naturally by using a simplified character design. If you have ever seen Digimon Movie, you'll see the characters look really weird, but the animation flows really well and the action is amazing.
It's hard to explain, but hopefully I make some sense.
