This is typical of every black funeral (including African funerals) that I've ever been too. It's about celebration, not sorrow.
When did the funeral start? I woke up around 12 and started watching and it's now 3:17 pm and it's still going. I know it's a black church and we tend to get a bit carried away in church but...
