What I never get about this experiment is that these labels just don't aim for a solid first week. Just give a semi-big interview a week prior to the premiere and tease it to death on social media. Book like 3 to 4 performances during the release week and those acts could have a pretty solid debut week.
But I also never got why labels experiment that way anyways in the UK, because the whole point of the pre-orders was to have an almost guaranteed high debut, with additional promo and the streaming that build in the weeks prior setting it on lock.
Without the pre-orders there will be not much songs that will be able to reach what Black Magic did with multiply weeks at the top spot. So yeah I also hope they won;t experiment with single #2 for LM. Because it could help for the longtivity in sales overall, but the peak position will probably be lower than what it could have reached if tried the original way.
