I don't think giving the song away for free will hurt much. Boom Boom Pow was on free download for a while and it ended up spending 12 weeks at #1.

And there's songs like Rack City, UOENO, Versace, Best I Ever Had, etc. which I think were originally from mixtapes, so you could get those songs for free (correct me if I'm wrong), but they still managed commercial success.

Not sure why everyone is worried about this album and the songs that have been released so far. Prior to Take Care, Drake released Dreams Money Can Buy, Marvin's Room, Trust Issues, Headlines, Make Me Proud, The Motto, Free Spirit, and Club Paradise. Eight songs and only four of them were on the final tracklist. So far only three or four songs have been released which could be on Nothing Was The Same.
