I didn't really make an extra site or whatever..
I could, because I learned how to in Web Design class.
But that's a bit too much work.. or at least for this challenge.
Maybe in the future, if necessary.

You may associate the new revelation Lana Del Rey with the year 2012, but "Video Games" has been a personal favorite of mine since it was released back in August of last year. At first I thought "she nothing but an Adele copycat," but as time went on I learned to appreciate Lana's singularity. The song is amazing. When I listen to it I feel like I'm flying. It takes me to a whole new level of artistry in its uniqueness. The same thing happens with the music video. We're used to seeing the same concepts over and over again, and though I really like good plastic pop music videos it's time someone creates videos of a more spiritual nature. That's exactly what I felt when I saw the footage accompanied by the melancholy sounds and lyrics. "Video Games" isn't necessarily the type of song you'd listen while hanging out with friends or at a party. It's much more than that. It's a song you can identify with, a story that will make you soar, and most important, it will encourage you to love

I choose "The Edge Of Glory" by Lady GaGa
I really can't express how amazing is this heart-swelling song ! Seriously, it is a power ballad with heavy club beats and it's a perfect song to share with your boyfriend/girlfriend, your best friend
The song conveys a sense of joy and it means a lot for me (which is why i identify with it) cause is about enjoying each day as if it were the last with that special person.
PS: I almost cry when i hear the last part when she sings "With you, with you, with you..."

My Choice:
Foo Fighters - Rope
(No. 1 in Billboard Rock Song)
Why i pick this song:
This song is came from my most favorite band ever.. I must say that Foo Fighters is one of the best alternative band right now. And after hiatus, they come back with much stronger music. 3 guitarists in a band? that makes this album rich. Especially Rope as their first single from the album.
This song is about a interdependence among 2 people, just like friends, family, or relationship. It is really simple but have deep meaning for me. It was when i have lose faith with myself, then i have great friends that really help me through my life.. Before that i feel like i am alone in this world, when problems come to me, i even deny when my friends come over.. But in one moment, they come to me together and talk heart to heart with me.. They even want to help me if i have problem. That really make me feel that i am not alone and i can through all of this because i have great people behind me that always support me,, Then i realize that friends are one of the best thing in my life, because without them, i just lost..
Chart:
This song have a breaking record to be in the top Bilbboard Rock song for 20 weeks.. Proving that this song is really amazing and can people interest..

"Firework"
This song made me appreciate myself.
It's about who I am and not letting my flaws get in the way.
It had been a big help in my life.
Quote:
You don't have to feel like a wasted space, you're original, cannot be replaced.
Maybe a reason why all the doors are closed so you could open one that leads you to the perfect road.
Those lines are amazing. It made me realize that I'm special in my own way and that everything has a reason. Never give up in life.
It also tells us to be who we are and not what others want us to be.
Everyone can relate to this song. This one is really especial to me. I don't mind the cheesy lyrics.

The song that I have chosen to write about is Adele’s “Someone Like You”. The reason why I chose this song is because whenever I listen to it, it affects me the same way it did when I first listened to the song. The song basically deals with getting over a guy and just letting go, I had to go through the same thing so that is the reason why I have taken such an emotional & personal attachment to this song. Adele has a way of singing about issues that affect everybody. I guess that's why the song reached number 1 because it not only relates to me but to a lot of other people. Many can relate to the issue of losing a love and having to let go.
6. Nait Phoenix
"Price Tag" by Jessie J featuring B.o.B
UK Singles Chart #1
This song very much references to me and my beliefs on making music. I don't make music for the simple dollar, I'm rich on love and appreciation. As long as I have people who either appreciate my contribution to the ever-growing market of music, I'm happy. And this song pretty much covers my feelings. I don't care about the money; I care more about making people dance and sing-a-long than I do about being wealthy. It doesn't hurt to make it a career and earn revenue for doing what I love, but, like the song says, money doesn't buy happiness and we have to stop being so serious for a while and just smile.
This is a great song because of how universal it sounds. It has a pretty simplified beat, and a catchy hook, so that pretty much makes it a hit. I wish this kinda music would've smashed instead of songs like "We Found Love" where the main focus is to make money from songs like that. I like how it does and doesn't follow the trend of pop music nowadays and I absolutely love having such a upcoming singer/songwriter performing this, further proving that it doesn't take a big name to make a song ultimately likable (even though this was produced by one of the biggest pop producers in the world... ).
In conclusion, this song is pretty much my theme song of 2011/2012.

Song: Grenade - Bruno Mars
This song means a lot to me, beyond its amazing lyric and beautiful Bruno's Vocals this made a footprint in my life because somebody that loved me so much dedicated to me, it doesn't seem the best song to dedicate someone you love, but despite that, it opened my eyes and it helped to figured it out how selfish i was and i was letting down someone that always was there backing up for me.
I think this song was one of its kind because it is one of those amazing ballads that smash hard and hit the charts and artist don't release frquently. Bruno brought a new sound and re-fresh the musical scene.
I have to say that I enjoy listening all the party songs and things like that, but just few songs can catch me like this did.
Regardless I'm a english music consumer, i have to recognize that most of them are silly and empty, and many times they just have a great beat, but next to someone like you by Adele, Grenade are the best lately ballad/pop song.

It's you, it's you, it's all for you
Everything I did was for a certain individual. I was in love, or at least I thought I was with my ex and I can’t really badmouth our relationship, because it was a learning process. He was a ‘gaymer’ so that’s one of the main reasons that I can relate to Video Games and I always found myself unsatisfied with our relationship. He was a good guy and I was happy in our relationship, but I felt like something was missing and that’s what ultimately led to our downfall. It’s almost like Video Games was written with our relationship in mind and it’s almost like the song is a reminder of what used to be. The song is also beautiful and haunting, obviously one of the best songs of 2011.
[It went #1 in Germany]

"All About Tonight" - Pixie Lott
All About Tonight is a clever, catchy dance pop track that you can blast in a car, in da club, or in your sleep, and it won't make any difference since you'll dance anyway. It's honest, and it's an invitation to dance, not an obligation, but the sweet electronic beat over Pixie's amazing vocals lights your night, and the fact that this doesn't seem forced makes it even better.I can relate so much to this song, because it's anything i ever wanted from a song, i can dance to it, i can relax to it. It also has this liberating lyrics that tell you "Tomorrow doesn't matter when you're moving your feet, it's all about tonight."

“
Even when you can't see me, you'll hear me
Our power is everpresent
I am Woman
And when I think, I must speak!
Men have been given the chance to rule the world
But ladies, our revolution has begun
Let's build a nation
Women everywhere
“
RUN THE WORLD
”
And thus a legendary performance begins. Run The World (Girls) was a controversially-received song and only clocked a number one on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart, but the I see this song as a hidden gem. Even as a man, this song connects to me deeply and profoundly.
RTW(G) is more than a superficial feminist anthem. Not only is a great song with a hot beat and beautiful harmonies, but it is an empowering song that highlights women who often get the short end of the stick when compared to their opposite gender counterparts. As a man, RTW(G) reminded me about the women in my life and how important they are to me.
RTW(G) highlights the fact that while men might be in control of the world, it's the women who make it happen. Strong females have existed since the beginning of time.
Susan B. Anthony said 'No sir, if I wanna vote, I'm gonna vote.'
Cleopatra said 'No sir, if I want to rule all of Egypt, I'ma rule all of Egypt.'
Joan of Arc said 'No sir, if I want to destroy the Brits, I'ma destroy the Brits!'
Helen Keller said 'No sir, if I want to speak, I'ma speak.'
Mother Theresa said 'No sir, if I wanna help the poor, I will help the poor.'
Rosa Parks said 'No sir, if I wanna sit in the gotdamn front seat, I'll sit in the gotdamn front seat.'
These are all examples of strong women who said 'No sir!' and overcame obstacles that the world has placed on women. Without them, our world would not be what it is today. And women like that are not only found in History books, but they're also found in our own lives. My mother is one of the strongest people I know, as is my little sister who works so hard to overcome what life throws at her. These are the people who we need to praise.
Behind every great man is an even greater woman. Like James Brown said, "This is a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman or a girl." Beyoncé reminded us once again that women ****, and for that reason, RTW(G) is my favorite number one of 2011.

Adele's "Someone Like You" is my song of choice simply bcuz its a gateway to my past. My last relationship ended horrible and it was mostly my fault. Sometimes I think about "What Could Have Been??" If I had gave him what he want. Even though I'm currently in a relationship sometimes I wonder if I will ever find someone like him.

I was Born This Way?
I remember this day, as if it were yesterday. In big bold letters, I saw “Born This Way” plastered on almost every website alive. I've never been forced to listen to any song before, but in this case it was every where I turned. Expecting nothing of it, I turned it on predicting that within a minute of my observation, it would bore me enough to turn it off.. in this case it was different.
The song started off with humming violins.. mesmerizing me as if it were a horror film. Gaga spoke.. “It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M. Just put your paws up, because you were born this way baby” It allured me.. what was this song really going to be about? Would it be a cliché gay anthem? Or would it actually send a message, helping the LGBT community? Then “BOOM!” The electrifying synth along with the massive base created such a melody that made you want to jump up out of your seat.. no matter where you were, who you were with, or how you looked. As the song began, I paid close attention to the lyrics. It impacted me. My year began with me actually being inspired by an artist who I barely paid attention to. Her crazy antic’s scared me off.. but as strange as this was, not this one.
“I'm beautiful in my way, because God makes no mistakes.” Wow. Cliché enough, that touched me the most. It inspired me because living in this critical world, I almost feel singled out, as if I don't belong. I want to go to church and respect my religion, but I strayed knowing that they would judge me for being a bisexual individual. I would be “doomed to hell” because of my beliefs, and I didn’t care to hear it anymore. I shouldn't have to hide who I am, because simply said, I was born this way.
This is a phrase known around the world now, made popular by Gaga. No matter who you are, everyone knows of Born This Way. It started a movement and it was beautiful to see people actually coming together for once, chanting the words “I was born this way.” This will be one of those songs I'll never forget nor ever dislike. It gave me the strength and confidence I needed to help other people recognize to appreciate who they are. Recognize that they were Born This Way.

I chose Adele's "Someone Like You" as my submission choice. It's hard to explain why this masterpiece resonates with me as much as it does. I guess it appeals to the love I feel for my ex.
She and I grew up together, dated off and on for 6 years and thought we'd be together forever. Unfortunately that wasn't the caase. We both made mistakes and ultimately our relationship imploded. The bitterness and anger I carried towards her was really just regret with the way things ended. The song made me realize I can be happy that she moved on and found someone who treats her well and gives her what I couldn't. It also helped me realize that I can find someone like her, who'll also give me what I need. We learn from the past so we can have a better future.
Michele is the love of my life and always will be. At 25 I can honestly say I don't think I'll ever love someone as much as I loved her. But I hope I can.
Someone Like You is real. It was created from a real place of emotion, and that's why people connect with it., it's why I connect with it. You hear the lyrics and can put your life story in it.

I choose Promises by Nero.
I feel it's a good song because of its dubstep beats, the lyrics, Alana Watson's voice, and because of the video, too, for me, it's all almost perfect for me. I was gonna choose Video Games, but since all the Lana hype... it was obvious that someone was going to choose it ... so, i choosed this song, a song that probably no one was going to choose, with a good vibe, and a song that i love.
This song explains me, and millions around the world, as well. Once she starts singing, the lyrics start with her own story. But then as it goes on, it includes a lot of beautiful and inspirational lines, especially in the chorus.
Quote:
"I'm beautiful in my way, 'cuz god makes no mistakes..
I'm on the right track. Baby I was BORN THIS WAY."
There are plenty of times when I do feel depressed about my life, no matter what the reason is.. but this is the song I go to, to make those feelings just go away- even if it's just for the four-minute-and-twenty-second duration.
Everyone is explained in this song.. like how Gaga lists different races, people, and sexual orientations. No matter if you don't like her, the song, or whatever.. you're part of the song and it's dedicated right to you.
Quote:
"No matter gay, straight, or bi.. lesbian, transgendered life."
Quote:
"You're black, white, beige.. chola descent. You're Lebanese, you're orient."
This song is great not only for those reasons, but also for the fact that, there's just plenty of times where you need to be reminded that you were born the way you are, and that there's nothing wrong with you.

I took the picture. It was when i stepped on to my first ever snow!!!
I also edited the picture. i don't know why i am even saying all these trivial things.
anyway this is my entry.
Here is my story on Mr Know It All. The song went number 1 in Australia the week of October 10th, 2011.
My entry is based on the whole point of the song, nobody should act like they know everything about you.
With that being said here is my entry, you can watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZLAEupfnF0
I didn't want to use the whole song, since I only needed a minute to get my point across and didn't want anything else to pull distractions from the full picture. The pictures are edited for the reason that, everyone is trying to change you, or fix you, make you into something you don't want to be.
