Selena is a FAR bigger star than Ariana. Ariana only had a few hits in 2014 because she was working with artists way more successful than her giving her songs big exposure. She can't sell with her name alone
Also Selena took a risk with Good For You and it paid off because quality and talent always wins. Ariana released generic radio-friendly Max Martin tracks and still failed
