Isn't that the whole point though, it's not something which is "normal" to the public because they don't get to hear about it or see it often. Having this on a cover, getting a lot of media coverage, is going normalize transitioning for a lot of people in the community. It may sound silly, but for a lot of sheltered people in the world, seeing this on the news or something might be the first time they ever knowingly see a trans person. The more positive attention trans people get in the media, the better.
But I agree about the pop girl part.
