I'm pretty sure he wasn't ecstatic about either of those tracks.
He probably added Dirty Love to the record because it was Kesha's long-anticipated collab with one of her idols and she wanted him to put it on the album more than anything- more than Gold Trans Am and Machine Gun Love, those two came in second place next to Dirty Love. It HAD to be on the standard album version if he didn't want to basically give a giant middle finger to her.
So then while we can assume she wanted both of the other tracks on there too, he compromised with her by putting Gold Trans Am on the deluxe version (not the standard though) over MGL because GTA has a sexual metaphor kind of humour to it that can make it endearing even to people who probably wouldn't expect a rock sound on a Kesha album. It's a more "fun" song.
I can imagine that was his reasoning there.
Probably. I'd rather Machine Gun Love over Dirty Love though, it's kind of annoying if she compromised her album just for a collab with Iggy, but it's even more annoying that she wasn't allowed to have the tracks that she wanted on her own album.
At least she got her favourite songs on the (standard) album and it gave her the opportunity to make her directorial debut making a video for it. Miss Sebert, her evolution

It's just annoying that tracks like Dirty Love, Wonderland, Wherever You Are, etc. made the standard and tracks like Last Goodbye, Gold Trans Am and Past Lives didn't, and tracks like Machine Gun Love and Young And Reckless didn't make the album at all. Luke is such a flop.
He's just a really nice guy who also happens to be pretty intelligent and attractive. Like he's always been nice to me. Ugh it's so annoying. It's like, I want to be closer friends with them but I also want to keep my distance at the same time, I'm a mess.
