Well I'd be lying if I were to say that it was a great album in general because it's not some masterpiece or anything. But it's got lots of radio bops and it's easy to digest which is what the album's aim is. Katy's not trying to push (m)any boundaries with PRISM and that's fine. I think her next record will be much better lyrically.
Now that I think about it, I agree with those saying that OOTB is her best album lyrically. It's a shame because where each album has its strengths, it also has its weaknesses. Hopefully K4 has amazing production and wonderful lyricism too. But maybe that's a bit too much to ask.
I definitely wouldn't consider it a "bad" album by any stretch of the imagination, though.
