Is it true that Dr Luke had no idea that Kesha was making a video for Dirty love and so she had to use the demo, from him owning the studio song? ...
IDK, I doubt Luke would have known otherwise she probably wouldn't have been allowed to film it if he was so opposed to her showing a different side of herself. But she wouldn't have been able to get Iggy Pop for the video anyway, so that would have been a bit awkward if she used the studio version tbh. And we got to hear her original demo second verse, so I prefer it that way.

True, I totally love that version over the collab any day, just saw that on twitter and I found it interesting.
And whats with that Mixtape? It's fan made yeah? lol

Not necessarily. If she wanted him in the video she could have got him but she hasn't used the studio version of the song at all. Every performance has been the version of the song that's in the video. I'm still confused as to why that's not the album version because it's a hell of a lot better than the Iggy Pop version.

I mean that it wouldn't be easy to get someone like Iggy Pop without Luke noticing if that's what the goal was. But anyway. I like the demo version better. The demo was produced by Matt Squire, but the final version has Luke and Cirkut on the production credits too, which is questionable. Perhaps Luke agreed to put the song on the album if he "popped" it up a bit and maybe the Iggy Pop feature was some kind of incentive from Luke (as Iggy Pop is one of her personal idols) to allow more pop songs on Warrior since Kesha originally wanted it to be a **** pop record which didn't fit with Luke's idea or her party-pop image.

Oh okay, well then yeah that makes sense. I get what you mean. I really do wish the two versions were switched. The album version doesn't quite sound as if it suits Iggy tbh. That's why I don't really like it that much Even though I bop to it almost every chance I get Hopefully we'll get a studio version of the demo and of Machine Gun Love

I hope so too, but I fear that it'll never happen. Who knows if studio versions were even recorded if they were turned down by Luke?
The reason why the DL album version is on the album instead of the solo v. is obviously Iggy. It doesn't matter if it was bad, he has a big name + Kesha loves the fact that Iggy is in one of her songs, so...
And it's good she used the demo in the music vid, cause otherwise Luke would be able to take it down
