Record Store Day was 19/04/2014 and for this day they made Picture Disc with 4 different sides and pictures on it... only for that day

I can't believe that some people actually genuinely believe that This Is How We Do and International Smile are trash and not single worthy, especially when the exact same people would prefer something like Double Rainbow or It Takes Two as a single. Like... are you forgetting who we stan for? Those songs will never be singles, and nor should they be. They're not bad, but they're not great, either. TIHWD and IS are fun, uplifting, great Katy Perry pop tracks. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Birthday is the right choice for fourth single, and I'm glad that they decided to release it anyway even though it was pushed back for a bit to allow Dark Horse to have its reign.

Some people? Sis, everyone here considers IS and TIHWD trash, including me. Both Double Rainbow and ITT are MILES better, hell, even This Moment and Ghost **** on those two songs.
Anyway, none of those songs will ever be singles. Capitol/Katy will go with Legenary Lovers, Walking on Air and By The Grace of God.

Lmao she's aproaching 30. Do you think she'll stick to the fun pop tracks for the rest of her life? They are perfect singles to finish the era and introduce the new one.

I've seen lots of people praise them. You're obviously biased. And TIHWD/IS > G/TM > DR/ITT

Don't pull that ageist **** on me. Madonna's had upbeat pop hits well into her 40's. Besides, it's not as if Katy looks like she's that old. I'm not saying she will, but she definitely could have more "fun" eras. It works for her. Katy's tried the serious route before, and look how that turned out for her (Thinking Of You, Unconditionally, anyone?)
And TIHWD and IS are songs that are already recorded from her latest album. Releasing them as singles during the same era that pop singles Roar, Dark Horse and inevitably Birthday smashed in would not be anything that the GP would question.
The idea that older acts have to make serious music is just silly, imo.

Ok. I'll give you TIHWD but IS has a very high burn rate. Its fun the first few spins but gets really used after some time.
Believe me when I say that I would do everything I can to have another POP record from Katy. Sadly its Katy who wants to transition to the acoustic realm and I think that ballad type songs like "It Takes Two" are going to help Katy.
That is overexposure for Katy. Like every song that comes out is upbeat can actually hurt her singles. Variation is important too. And we all want her to progress as an artist as well so if it means we have to say "See You Later" to her bops I'm willing to take the risk.
