The deluxe version is up on Irish iTunes. Someone hop on that ****!
Was this confirmed? Cuz if so imma need to hear those Bonus tracks.
Honestly for those who were "disappointed" in the album, I really think the 6 EXTRA bonus tracks will help change their opinion as I think they are more hard/street/club tracks.
We basically still haven't heard a quarter of the album yet.
Right. I feel like if the ppl (who were sayin they were disappointed, the album was wack, etc.) will give it another listen, they'll end up liking it.
It's not that it's "wack" (we're not in the 80's, btw). It's that it's not anything. It's not spectacular, and it's not horrible; it's just lukewarm. Nothing really stands out. As a fan of Minaj, it's disappointing.

I just think people were expecting something else. Really, they shouldn't have, since Nicki told us what the album would be like, plus both singles represent the overall feel of the album.
i'd rather have a mix of deep and meaningful songs, as well as the mixtape kinda stuff. I think it shows us who Nicki really is.
Because Minaj, apparently, "told us what the album would be like," we shouldn't be surprised that it was mediocre? That's a cop-out. Listen, even though we don't personally know these musicians and celebrities, the general public is not stupid. We can tell when an actor or singer is truly a sweetheart, douche, or arrogant, even when they're putting on the "good image" show for the cameras and interviews. That being said, I feel like this album does NOT represent Nicki Minaj's personality. The first thing she says in "Last Chance" was, "I could have been had fame. Jump shot with a stupid ass aim," but that's exactly what she did, instead of creating an album that was more geared towards herself and her personality, she retreated and decided to go with the aim of "Your Love" since is was successful and created an album of somber and "serious" songs. Again, I don't know her personally, but with all the outfits, and hairstyles, and mixtapes, and features, you definitely get the sense that Nicki Minaj is a vibrant, upbeat character. In regards to her most upbeat track on the album, "Check It Out," she even stated, "I worked with tons of producers on my album, shout out to all of them. Will’s the only producer that produced me. He really sat there and got this weird sound, and I was like, ‘What?’ It was so simple. He was sitting there and he made the beat on the spot."
Her first single was "Massive Attack." Even though I wasn't fond of it, I still liked that it was definitely NICKI MINAJ'S song. She owned it. And since "Your Love" was successful and "Massive Attack" wasn't, I think either Minaj or the people behind her feared failure and put the gears in reverse and, instead, produced an album of "Your Loves" instead of "Massive Attacks."
This album won't end or deter Minaj's career, but it definitely doesn't do her any favors. And who knows, maybe this album IS Nicki Minaj, too... but it's not the Nicki Minaj she's been showing everyone so it feels almost like false advertisement, to me.
You would rather have a mix of "deep and meaningful songs" along with "mixtape kinda stuff," while I, and casual fans of Minaj, would rather have a unique and characteristically over-the-top Minaj album with hit and misses, instead of an of album safe, somber songs filled with almost unnecessary singing from Nicki. Where are the hooks? What is supposed to grab us? Where is Minaj?
So im pissed as **** because those extra 6 tracks could have made the album alot better i hope who ever rates the album and buys them gets the deluxe because all of the deluxe tracks are bangers (blow ya mind, girls fall like dominoes, super bass, muney
) and i havnt heard catch me and wave ya hand but im pissed becus those 6 songs can defintely change the outlook on the album they definitely have that nicki feeel to them, they shouldve just put it all on one cd

"Pink Friday" is Nicki. It's mixtape Nicki, & she BEEN told us that it was gonna be like that. The Nicki that she's shown in most features is 'crazy' Nicki & like she said, "Roman" is only on 25% of the album. She created a REAL album because she didn't want ppl to take as a joke.
for the record, nicki's mixtapes always had "somber & serious songs". (can anybody hear me, autobiography, sweetest girl, etc) and those happened to be the favs of many of her fans.
the mainstream never saw this nicki. she used this album to show that side of her.
it shows diversity.
i'm glad she did that early in her career bc if she continued making "fun" music, people would not take her seriously & she probably would not have been able to really show what she's capable of.

I understand, but the general public aren't listening to her mixtapes, they're seeing her as the Lady Gaga of hip hop. The people that buy albums and singles off iTunes are seeing an upbeat character with over-the-top mannerisms and live performances, but the album is none of that. She has the rest of her career to be deep and meaningful but this debut should have reflected more of what she has shown us. So, all I'm sayin' is that it will disappoint many fans, despite whether she told us what the album was going to be like or not, and probably wasn't the smartest move on her part.
Really, the general public must like THIS Nicki because HER singles are selling. You're acting as if she put out an album with no singles. She put out THREE singles & NONE of them are no 'Lady Gaga of Hip-Hop' type shxt.

VIN OMFG SHE DIDNT LET THEM DOWN ALL THE STUFF U R TALKING ABOUT IS IN THE DELUXE ALBUM ! TRUST BLOW YA MIND, SUPER BASS, MUNEY, GIRLS FALL LIKE DOMINOES
^^^That's actually a really good point. Nicki has gained a good amount of fans just by doing her "Check It Out's", "My Chick Bad's", "Bottom's Up" persona of Roman. As I don't feel as though she should completely sell herself out to her "new-found" fans, I do feel as though she should've been a little more Roman for her debut. Not saying PF won't sell just as well regardless of what "Nicki" she is, just saying hopefully Mixtape Nicki doesn't turn off Roman fans.

She put out an album with no singles in regards to how she wanted to be perceived by the masses.
This is what she has shown the general public, but does not reflect what is on her album. She's released/been a part of far more "eccentric" singles than somber singles, i.e. "Your Love" and "Right Thru Me."

I agree. I don't think it will COMPLETELY turn off Roman fans, but it will still be a let down when you're expecting to hear some interesting productions and rapping from Minaj only to hear midtempo tracks with a bit too much singing.
Oh sorry vin ,the arrows were supposed to point to one of ur previous posts but someone posted before I could finish but I agree with ur observation wholeheartedly!!!!
