It's meant to be a conversation though, that could never work as a solo song. Also, Gaga's voice shows incredible control and restraint on the track - it would have been very easy for her to try and emulate Florence's style of singing and turn it into a shout fest. But the way her soft soothing vocals compliment Florence's calling is absolutely stunning.
Not to mention the way they sound on the bridge is genuinely breathtaking.
It's a grower though, as is the rest of the album. Give it time!
