If I'm being honest, the first song I heard by Tame Impala was at a college party and it was "The Less I Know The Better" and that was before Anti.

I don't know, I don't see the argument that they "blew up" after Rihanna. Since they haven't really gotten much bigger since then to me.

I mean, yeah. I think Tame Impala benefitted from the Rihanna exposure, but it wasn't like career defining.

People did and people DO. Stop acting like Rihanna put them on the map or anything; if ANYTHING, she exposed them to the few people (ie. the Navy!) who didn't know who they were, but that number is about as considerable as the amount of people who are victims of reverse racism.
