It's not flawed, actually it makes sense to measure this way cause this methodology takes into account the context of the music market at every single time.

Plus and Multiply are such incredible and original albums. He is so talented, all of his music feels genuine and his success is even more gratifying because he struggled as an artist for YEARS before he became huge. Legend.

The Fame Monster had multiple 100K+ weeks as well. I mean, it sold 4.7M in 170 weeks it was on there so it must have. I'm guessing Xmas 2010 at least one and then the Grammys/VMAs and some in 2009 after debut.
