I believe that the general public is sick of pop stars selling sex bc it's no longer edgy, provocative, or different. People like Taylor and Adele are selling so well bc they make genuine music and their fans relate to the music. And by not selling sex they appeal to a wider audience, an audience that buys music. Thats not true, the whole song leads up to the choruses. The soft and slow beginning is what MAKES the ending so great. If we just jumped straight to the ending it wouldn't be as amazing then with everything else added imo
