TAYLOR SWIFT X BBC RADIO 2
813
Taylor Swift would leave Seoul early yesterday morning to fly out to the city of the United Kingdom, London. The singer would arrive with boyfriend slash male model Simon Nessman at the London airport where they would greet fans, sign autographs, and take pictures with the hundreds of fans who were waiting. They’d been waiting and had found out about the singer’s flight to the city after Taylor tweeted that’d she be arriving in London tomorrow morning for a long day of promotion in the British capital. “Promotion promotion promotion all this week. I’m so ready to be back at it in full force. Just two or so more weeks before I can really get some more new material out there to you guys. Muah! London in the AM!” From there fans would grow almost ecstatic with the new information they received from the singer about when they could expect new music or at least a timeframe. Trends would immediately flood the social media site from fans who are always ready for new material from the American singer songwriter. The singer would arrive at BBC Radio 2 Studios for an interview regarding her brand new greatest hits album ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ which has had another massive week on the charts. She would then perform in the radio channel’s live lounge, performing two of her brand new promotional singles that were released recently. She would then perform the two singles that have both went number one off the record, ‘Style’ and ‘Too Good To Lose’ (the latter features Justin Bieber who’s also spent much time in his album promotional campaign promoting the song)
Graham Norton (BBC Radio 2): Hello all! Taylor Swift is in the studio with us, looking very very very extravagant. How are you Taylor?
Taylor Swift: I’m doing really well, I’ve been waiting to come back here and I literally was here only like four weeks.
Graham Norton (BBC Radio 2): Well we’re so glad to have you back. Before we get into the gossip about how great the men in our lives are, let’s talk about the success your greatest hits album has been getting. ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’, how intense of a title, it sold nine hundred and forty thousand copies this week, giving it a second week at the top spot on the albums charts. Basically almost a million copies, Taylor. A million copies in it’s third weeks.
Taylor Swift: I don’t know if i can cuss on the program but that’s really damn crazy, isn’t it? I mean I practically outdid my first week sales in my third week. Nine hundred- I mean really a million people went out this week to buy my album. That’s just nothing short of incredible. I can’t believe it. It’s just surreal to me. I believe I sold two and a half million records in one week, that’s really big for me. The success just has been jaw dropping. I’m in awe of all those who’ve made this happen.
Graham Norton (BBC Radio 2): Now that you’re in London, how long will we get you for promotion and appearances?
Taylor Swift: I believe you Londoners will get me for almost 72 hours. That’s far longer than I usually spend in a city for promotion. I remember the first week of album release I was in five different cities in seven days. That was the definition of grueling so this little four cities in a week, three days in two, one in the other, thing is quite great, I must admit. So yeah, London is one of those three day cities.
Graham Norton (BBC Radio 2): Well for one let’s talk about this tweet you sent out last night talking about new material coming soon. Are you planning a reissue or rerelease again of your album?
Taylor Swift: I mean it’s something that is in the works and I can really confirm now will be happening. I’ve recorded some extra tracks in the past few months that I think will work fine for the release of the record. The tracks are really vintage me. When I’m talking vintage me I’m talking that country pop sound like ‘Love Story’. Then a few other of the songs are very ‘Wildest Dreams’ and ‘Style’ esque. I didn’t want to take on a whole new sound with the tracks because really this entire album campaign has been about me reflecting on the success and career I’ve had thus far. So with that I really wanted to give the fans a trip back to the beginning years.
Graham Norton (BBC Radio 2): Well we are highly anticipating it.
Taylor Swift: Me too, it’s going to be a lot of fun.
She would then take to the live lounge to perform the songs before signing off the program with playing the lead single off the record ‘Style’.

TAYLOR SWIFT X THE VOICE UK
718
Taylor Swift would arrive in London, England earlier today, immediately beginning promotion in support of her brand new album ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ which has spent a second week at number one in the world, selling almost one million copes in it’s third week of release, the album sold exactly nine hundred forty one thousand and eight hundred and ninety copies in it’s third week, putting it’s overall sales around two million three hundred and eight thousand copies total. It marks Taylor Swift’s fastest selling album to date and her best selling as well. The singer would tell Graham Norton in an interview on BBC Radio 2, “I mean really a million people went out this week to buy my album. That’s just nothing short of incredible. I can’t believe it. It’s just surreal to me. I believe I sold two and a half million records in one week, that’s really big for me. The success just has been jaw dropping. I’m in awe of all those who’ve made this happen.” The success would continue as her sales in the United Kingdom would surge after her appearance on the BBC program along with her performance tonight on The Voice tonight where she would serve as a guest mentor, giving advice to the contestants before she’d take to the stage to perform a medley of her promotional singles and her two number one singles off her album ‘Yours’. The medley performance would send the album back to the top spot on the United Kingdom iTunes Charts, selling over twenty thousand copies in just the twelve hours following. We’re told from the album’s huge boost from the placement of #9 on the iTunes chart to number one in one update, that the singer’s label, well her label technically since she bought it out from previous owner Lilianna Foxx, that she would book a few more promotional slots in the United kingdom before heading over to France where she’ll continue promotion for three day before heading Stateside to finish off her week of promotion there in Los Angeles, her final stop on the promotional tour she is on this week.
When mentoring the contestants, Taylor would give them some suggestions of how to improve their performances. With that, she would practice with one contestant on their vocal runs, along with their stage presence. “When you go out there it’s really really important that you sort’ve play this commanding pop star. You’ve got to take control of the stage. There is going to be a lot of lights and dancers on stage, do not let them overpower you. There’s a balance you have to maintain between the lighting, the arrangement, the dancers, and vocals. When you go out there command the stage, put your hand on your hip and tell them that you OWN them. That this is your stage, your song, and your competition. Embrace the inner diva I know that you have inside of you. All of us sweet girls have that bitch in us we want to let out. So do that and I think you’ve got it covered. I mean the looks, the voice, it’s all there you just have to execute it with conviction and perfection.”
With another contestant she would suggest him changing the entire performance, catching on to the repetitiveness of him using an acoustic arrangement in his performances. “You’re nearing the end of the competition and I’ve watched some of your previous performances leading up to now. If I have one suggestion, it’s to lose the guitar and the acoustic arrangements. You need to prove that you can be a performer without the guitar. Trust me, when I first started out I would always use my guitar on stage with me. It was a comfort item but eventually you have to let it go to really show the viewers and the world watching that you’re someone without your guitar. Because when I saw you up there on the guitar you look great. Without the guitar and just controlling the stage, I think you’d be just as good and you’d really show them that you’re a good performer without an instrument. It’s an odd thing to really critique someone on but I want to help you since I’ve been critiqued for the same thing before.”
The singer would then take to the stage to give an explosive performance of the songs she’s recently released from ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’.

JAYBIRD REBRANDED AS AURORA RECORDS, KESHA UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
1,007 words

Kesha can't seem to catch a break. Just weeks after the TiK ToK singer was freed from her troublesome recording contract with former producer and hit-maker Dr. Luke, Kesha managed to sign a new recording contract with upcoming indie label Jaybird Records. However, news has come in that the label has undergone some changes that could be trouble for the singer. Undergoing "rebranding", the label now identifies as Aurora Records, with a change in management affecting the label's marketing of its artists, starting with Kesha.
"The new Kesha era will be rebranded along with Aurora Records," a spokesman for the newly named Aurora Records revealed. "This rebranding should not negatively affect Kesha's upcoming era in any major way." The representative insisted that Kesha's album was still intended to be released and no already recorded material was to be scrapped. They did however have a comment about Kesha's current single, Twilight, "Twilight will no longer serve as the lead single from Kesha's upcoming album. Along with the rebranding of Kesha and our label, we've decided to change the way Kesha's upcoming album will be promoted, including the lead single." This may come as a shock to some fans, given the very strong critical and commercial response to the song on its initial release last week. "We were very happy with the buzz that the song generated for Kesha, but both the label and Kesha agreed that it was not the correct way to lead into the release of the album."
Instead, the upcoming album, still self-titled 'Kesha Rose', will be lead by a new single called Surrender, "The new single is a song called Surrender," Kesha herself revealed after the announcement that her new label was undergoing changes. "I feel a lot more comfortable with this song being the lead single. Twilight touched on a lot of darker themes and hearing that song on the radio felt disingenuous in some ways, which isn't the image that I wanted to brand myself with, at all. This new song is another song I wrote around the same time as Twilight, but it's a lot more accessible and has a more positive and uplifting message overall." When asked about the cancelled single, Kesha remained confident that it would still be on her upcoming record, "It's definitely still going to be on the album, it's just not a single. At least not yet. It was just the wrong timing I think, too much of a change from my previous works. I need to ease into that change, let people really embrace me for who I am."
Kesha talked some more about her new single, "I can't wait for Surrender to be played on the radios. I really think that the fans are going to love it. In a way it's not too much of a departure from my older sound in that it's very upbeat and it's very pop, but I feel like there's a depth to these lyrics of overcoming every obstacle and never giving up no matter how impossible it may seem that just elevates this song so much further than anything I've ever done before. It's just so real, so pure. And I think that people are going to understand that, and respect that."
The Die Young singer talked a bit more about how the track came together, "As I said, it was another track that I wrote in rehab back in 2014. I had the melody in my head and the verses were locked in. When I was released from rehab, I contacted my friend Calvin [Harris] and I showed him some of the songs that I'd written. Straight away he took a liking to Surrender, and said that [he could] really work with [the song]. That's when I said, that's it, this is our song. So he produced the track and helped me tweak the melody and chorus a bit. We finished the song in a week. The entire song, lyrics, melody, production, everything. It was just one of those songs that just happened and it felt so right."
Kesha indicated that Surrender was one of the most familiar tracks on her record, "It's definitely the closest to fitting on one of my old records," Kesha confessed, "but at the same time, I don't ever really think that I would have been able to use it back then. The sound is very upbeat and dancy, but the subject matter is very unfamiliar for me. It's not your typical self-empowerment track, it's so much more than that." Kesha described the electronic dance anthem. "I'm just glad that I'm able to experiment with newer sounds, my record will not be made up of entirely Surrenders or entirely Twilights. I love variety, I listen to so much different music it's ridiculous, and that's kind of what I want to embody in this album. Like you're listening to a different album with each song, but somehow it all ties together... you know?"
The Your Love Is My Drug singer shared another small detail about her upcoming self-titled record, "There have been some changes to the original track list that was proposed for the album, but the concept is still the same. I'm going to have one disc for an overall older sound that I just know my Animals are going to die when they find out about, and a second disc for all of my new sounds. Surrender will be on the second disc, as well as Twilight. Each record has 14 tracks, so that's 28 tracks all up. It's a really big record, and I feel it has to be that way, because this is a really big moment in my career. It's been over two years since my last album was released! My fans are starving for new music! And I don't plan on disappointing them," Kesha smiled, "without my fans, I wouldn't be where I am today."
Kesha's new single Surrender is currently on sale at all major retailers, including iTunes. Make sure to purchase your copy today!

TAYLOR SWIFT X KISS FM UK
718
Taylor Swift was live on Kiss FM United Kingdom radio, arriving at the studios this morning after an exciting day of promotion. The singer songwriter’s success is at an all time right now, her greatest hits album, her first, ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’, spending a second week at number one on the albums charts this week on a global scale. ‘Yours The Greatest Hits’, would sell over nine hundred thousand forty thousand and eight hundred and ninety copies this week, sending the album well over the two million mark this week. On the singles charts the singer would have another strong hold, her first single off the record ‘Style’ blasting back on the charts at the place of number four on the singles charts, selling over four hundred thousand copies first week, sending the single well over the one million mark. Her single ‘Too Good To Lose’ would fall to the number two placement selling over four hundred thousand copies as well, the collaboration with Justin Bieber too passing the one million mark. In total, the American pop star would sell well over two million and hive hundred thousand copies in just this week, putting her total sales from the ‘Yours: The Greatest Hits’ era around the five million and two hundred thousand copies mark. The success has been massive for the singer, immediately becoming her biggest era to date. Success seems to be continuing on this week, the singer songwriter embarking on another huge promotional tour this week, visiting cities such as London, Paris, and Los Angeles, having returned from last week where she spent much of her time in the cities of New York, Tokyo, and Seoul. In the interview with one of the biggest pop stations in the country (UK) the singer songwriter would discuss her recent success, her new material off her album, love, and lastly the new home she’s recently bought in London for a pricy eighteen million dollars, a news story that would make headlines with ease.
Kiss FM UK: Everyone please welcome to the program, the one and only Taylor Swift, who’s had a massive week on the music charts this week.
Taylor Swift: Thank you so much for that lovely introduction, I’m so glad to be here. I feel like i haven’t been here in forever. I believe it’s been about four months or so, really. So it’s lovely to be here and seeing all you beautiful people.
Kiss FM UK: You’ve had an amazing this week commercially. Your album has sold nine hundred and forty thousand copies first week, making it the best selling album for a second week. You’ve also had two entries in the top five of the singles charts as well, calculating your total of both singles and albums chart, selling over two million and five hundred thousand copies in just one week.
Taylor Swift: Yeah it’s been really crazy. The success is just stunning and unbelievable to me and my label. I mean before this my highest first week sales were around four hundred and ninety two thousand copies first week. I did seven hundred and twenty one thousand first week with this one, another seven hundred thousand this week, then a massive nine hundred thousand copies in it’s third week. That’s just beyond me. I’m really thankful for all of those who went out this week and supported the album. It’s just crazy, really? I wasn’t expecting it at all.
Kiss FM UK: Tell us some about the new material you’re releasing soon. You’ve talked about a rerelease before in prior interviews and in a tweet where you said the new release would be coming in like two weeks or so. When can we expect the album to be released and really what can we expect from it?
Taylor Swift: The rerelease is coming soon. I can confirm that there will be a rerelease of the greatest hits album with some new material I’ve been working on. For a few months I’d been recording some of the music that’s really similar to the stuff I’ve released in the past. Back in 2009 or the Fearless era I sort of took on this country pop sound. It’s along the lines of like ‘Love Story’ and ‘You Belong With Me’, some of the old songs I have been apart of. So really I kind of went back to the country pop sound with this rerelease. It’s an album all about reflection anyway. So that’s really why I decided to take on this new sound.
From there, she’d perform her promotional singles and singles from Yours: The Greatest Hits as well as playing the four songs on the station before signing out
