Taylor was the one who wrote the whole song, silly lyrics included, and MM just changed the "it seems"s into "it feels"s and removed the bridge. Taylor was the one who wrote those silly verses. She wanted it that way. I'm not even sure if there was ever any attempt at introspective lyrics. When you write a verse like the first verse of 22, you know that the song is not going to end up being deep tbh.

No she just happened to smash since the beginning. Speak Now was such a good time for her. She was so happy she wrote all the songs herself. It didn't matter that it was her worst selling album plus if your only goal is mainstream success then you don't sign with an independent label.

LP6 will be SN 2.0, before that RED and LP5 will be experimental, she's learning different things, I think LP5 will include much more collaborations (did she also say that?), not just MM. You all must always believe in your Lord.

I stan for quality music, not for someone's chart success or their personality. If they have those two things then great, but the music has to always come first. I honestly think she's forgotten that, and at this point I have no idea whether or not I'll buy the next album. I'm going to take a wait and see approach to this album, and I honestly can't believe I'm saying that about a Taylor Swift album.

Btw you all dragging Red and keep saying SN is better, but their critical acclaim is almost at the same level. And please don't say about the Grammys, because Red was the one which got GF nods while SN couldn't. SN didn't win a single Grammy, it was the fantastic song (Mean) which won the Grammy. Album wise Red > SN for the Grammys.

I don't think we should be focusing on a meltdown, here. It is still too early to know for sure. Let's see what the coming month's bring.

I would not compare Taylor to other artists, especially when it comes to MM. She still is in a league of her own. So whatever music comes is going to be good as far as I am concerned.
