I'd say so thanks to her addressing huge issues in her early videos back when it could still be considered brave (such as abortion, LGBT rights, her callout throughout the first half of her career towards the Catholic church) and her advocacy for women to embrace themselves and exploring many depths of womanhood that had been basically banned during it's time. I think she, in some ways along with other artists, helped make sex less of a taboo in modern culture.
But MJ did his thing too, which is equally important. I just think it is sad that PPL don't feel the same about all of the really good and daring things Madonna did throughout her career (even if she's a joke now).
On the one hand, Naughty Boy his power could cause this to smash. This would put Emeli her Naughty Boy-produced lead singel in good stead to smash harder.
On the other hand, Bén his power could cause this to underperform. Naughty Boy needs to smash with Emeli to save his now ruined career. This would further solidify Emeli's status as #1 black female WW.
