MM produced albums in the early 2000s sold insanely. No Strings Attached (2000) is the highest sold album in a year since 1991, just an example. And Red was another MM produced album which sold insanely too.

I just want a strong quality album. I mean Red was good sans the Max Martin songs. She could put out an album with nothing but country songs produced by Max and I would still not be here for it.

but her music will be generic like Katy? Generic music= low album sales. Quality music= high album sales. Taylor can only get so far with her teen fans who also stan for Bieber

Quality music isn't always = high album sales tho, not only early 2000s but also even these days you can see this. Do you think 1D make quality music ? They sold nearly at the same level with Taylor Swift in 2012.

Teen fans sis. What I mean is quality music will sell albums if it gets promotion. Look at Mumford and Sons, Adele, Foo Fighters, Eric Church, etc. They get less radio play then others yet are able to outsell most. Taylor has both the teen fans who support ID and also has fans who support her cause she puts out quality music. Losing one set puts her in the same category as everyone else.

I'm not too upset about the MM and Shellback collab/pic. I don't why I'm optimistic. Taylor's grown up and is more mature than ever. She knows what music she wants to make. Will all the MM collabs turn out to be good? No, and don't expect that. But this is what she wants and I'm excited to hear it before I judge.
