TMZ is reporting- and you can take their word for it since they routinely break actual entertainment news while the folks at Extra as still turning on their Keurigs – that Disney icon and frequent rehab visitor Demi Lovato has officially signed on as a judge on The X Factor’s upcoming second season. The “Skyscraper” singer will join returning judges Simon Cowell (also the show’s creator and executive producer) and L.A. Reid, as well as the recently confirmed Britney Spears, who will fill Paula Abdul’s vacant seat on the panel to the tune of a cool $15 million. While Fox has not officially confirmed the news, both Lovato and Spears are expected to appear at the network’s advertiser presentation in New York City this afternoon to formally announce their deals.
Also expected is the announcement of the show’s new hosts – one male, one female – splitting the time-keeping and unprovoked bellowing former duties of Welsh heartthrob Steve Jones. While rumored candidates for the female position have ranged from crazy (Miley Cyrus) to uninspired (Gwen Stefani) to highly unlikely (newly pregnant Giuliana Rancic), Fox’s decision to move Glee from its usual Tuesday slot to Thursdays at 9 p.m. (following The X Factor’s results shows) seems to indicate that Darren Criss – Glee’s resident attention hog and longtime item on Simon’s host wishlist – will also make a big announcement in New York this afternoon.

I dont mind watching the ones where the celebs dont mind but the ones where they do are awkward as anything!
