She's Not Me is in her top 20 once you delete the last ~2 minutes of Pharrell nonsense, for example.

Too true! It's like when you can't decide on a statement piece so you just wear them all and end up looking the fool, isn't it?
I mean, they're great songs.

Some are just a bit overdone, that's all, like their producers didn't know when to stop adding further elements to the mix. (Still the best album of all time, of course.)

I mean the Super Bowl was good but there was just a lot of questionable moments - like Cee Lo, LMFAO, GMAYL as the key single at the time (lyrics are just so not clever) and M.I.A. tackily giving the finger.
But yeah she had to be family friendly obviously - it just didn't really suit her.

I loved the performance in spite of this, but I agree that her special guests should have been better.

Everyone she did enlist either distracted (i.e., M.I.A., the only one who was worthy in the first place, but whose apathy was not cute) or detracted (uh, the others—all uninspiring relics of 2012) from M's brilliance and hard work.
She should have called up old pals Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott three years before Katy got the chance.
