Consistent high quality performances and videos
And the flawless songs themselves

Try to get all those aspects back maybe? With this era she destroyed just about every aspect about her that made her so appealing in the first place

At this point, she could fix it with a "less is more" era, this era is basically doomed and I doubt she will be able to restart an era, that the GP has not that much interest in. Cheeck 2 Cheeck or an other project that is a step away from what people know of her, could bring her benefit. If people see her in a different setting, that can spark a different light on her, it brings her into a new demographic etc. During such project she can easily work on a project that is "more" Gaga and try to find a way to bring back what she brought on the table, but in a new fresh way. It's like she is slightly lost in what kind of direction she wanna move careerwise, she has the music, just the presentation and general interest in her need to be on a point again, where most of the GP will accept her again.

Her fans (and through osmosis, she herself) want to recreate what she's already done - same collaborators, some format, same sounds, same looks.

Dance/pop + costumes + blonde + theatrics. That formala is tired and no matter how good the music is and how well she delivers it, she won't recreate her meteoric rise to stardom.

No doubt some genuinly do prefer her older stuff but I bet a lot of them are just saying these things because they don't really analyse the situation objectively or they simply want to be part of popular opinion - which is that Gaga isn't as good as she was.

Regardless, preference =/= superior and success =/= superior. That confusion happens here every damn day and if ARTPOP was smashing guarantee most of these people would like the album. Just like how BTW is now stellar in hindsight while it was supposedly crap pre-ARTPOP.

I honestly think Born This Way, both as as an album and an era destroyed everything she's been known for. It damaged her accessibility because of its silly pretentious messages. To make things worse, she became way too involved with her fans. Littlemonsters.com was the turning point, as it further alienated her casual fans.

I'm pretty sure the majority of casual Gaga fans had no idea she had a meltdown on that website, they were just wondering why Do What U Want doesn't have a music video. In the eyes of the public, she just vanished for 6 months (I don't want to say 2 years )

Consistent cringy quotes and rants, embarassing tweets, lm.com (everything about that entire site). #promoteonlinekindess/meme parties/actually taking stanwars seriously, all make her look like a clueless out-of-touch granny who doesn't get how the internet works.
